These trilogy is 'da bomb'! A modern saga. The american version will never compare.

The whole trilogy was good...last was all that needed to tie it together.

I thought this movie was really good, better than the second one but not the first one.

This trilogy is one of the best to come along in the past 10 years they all flow together nicely ending with the third.Excellent!!!!

a lazy audience? I would hardly consider it lazy that an audience would want to watch a film in their native language. I wouldn't consider it lazy anymore than an American film being dubbed over, which is done all the time, for a non english speaking audience. To say that the remake is for a lazy american audience is just being facetious and pretentious, or at least attempting to, but anyone with anyone intelligence easily sees through that. With that said, I did like the original versions better, but I thought the English language remake was great too. On a side note, it's not only America that speaks English, but your pretention probably already allowed you to know that.

right on! I love the original "girl with the dragon tattoo" aka "the man who hated women" & just finished the girl who played with fire. Just a remarkable trilogy! I'm automatically assuming I'll love the 3rd one just as much. Noomi Rapace and the gang from sweden bring an air of realism that the English/American remake couldn't match. I mean the remake was good, but not as good, just lacking the proper atmosphere, and way too short. I don't see how they could remake the other two, though, as it appears to lack the open ending, etc.

WOW!!!live to the expectations...its far better than the second film and but the first one is above all else...great trilogy...love the court scenes in this one...and the ending...could not be better...gripping, intense and keeps the pace from start to finish...the americans better have some magic recipes to beat this trilogy...5+/5

They all were good. No fucking need to compare or put down. I don't know any other Swedish productions that have a good storyline muchless a heroine that even us guys cheer on. Of course there will be an American version. Hopefully they won't fuck it up and water it down as things do get lost in translation. Of course the books tend to be more detailed than the movie version. Disregard all the haters who's brain capacity does not exceed an ant. what a great series of movies.

this is a great movie...if you can read and don't mind subtitles i recommend this movie...it is part of a trilogy and all the movies compliment each other perfectly and tell a great story...the lead actress is awesome and selected perfectly for her role...i don't think the remake of part one of this trilogy put out in 2012 was as good as the original part 1...it was like "Let the Right One In," the remake "Let Me In'" wasn't as good as the original...enjoy!!!

A very excellent film. I wish i had watched a version with better subtitles ["yes - of course running there is bad empty" etc] but even so I was glued to the screen. 9/10

A good tightly woven ending. Love the heroine's acting it is a credit to the film! But I have to admit, being swedish speaking the script could have been better. People don't talk like that in real life. (did you all know that the author of the novels, partly modeled the girl after Pippi Longstocking?)

After watching the US version recently, I decided to watch the original trilogy and I'm so glad I did, it's worth every minute of the 6 hours plus I invested. A must see to get the full story of Lisbeth Salander, and what a shocker it is. I wouldn't say the US version is any better than the original version, or vice versa, it's just different; i.e. catered for English speaking and cultural sensibilities. 5/5
