Have mixed feeling after watching this one. I feel the fervor of the story was not there or may be we are usually accustomed to stories of grandeur that the plot here looked like a tired redux of Batman Begins, with a fe changes of course. There were some moments but on the whole you could not expect anymore from a franchise that i think has been over exploited already in terms of stories for the last 2 decades. Having said this though, this was a good watch despite it all

I liked it a lot, a good animated movie about batman, it's even a little bit darker I recommend it

They followed the comic perfectly! Almost panel for panel! Perfect!

I F**king love this Movie. I haven't watched an animated movie like this since Under the red hood. I've been waiting for an adaptation of The Dark knight returns comic book for years. and this one was truly epic. Oh yeah. There's a few easter eggs on this movie. both from DC and Marvel. Watch this movie.

WOW ! That was CRAZY-COOOOOL and SIIIIIICK-AWESOME ! BEST animated BATMAN MOVIE EVER ! BATs was a GREAT BADASS in this movie ! Ever GREATER than in the Christian Bale batman movies and just about all the other animated movies. I LOVE BATs ! He's just too COOL and AWESOME ! Absolutely fabulous, for those who read the Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, this is undoubtedly a fantastic adaptation...

Based on one of thee best Batman graphic novels out there. You think he schooled the mutant leader? Wait till you see his final show down with The Joker in Pt. 2. Awesome stuff.

just like the comic written by frank miller, they didnt change a thing. in part 2 he fights with superman. 10/10

Well, if you'd ever read a Batman comic book, you'd know that is how he really looks. The Joker is just a normal guy who fell into some chemicals that bleached his hair green, and skin white. He looks almost identical to his representation in the graphic novel that this film is based on, too. Sorry to burst your Ledger boner

This was amazing outstanding story action and animation everything you would expect from a REALLY good batman animation special can't wait to see part 2 a must see for all batman fans

Nice adaptation of the graphic novel which I would recommend to anyone who enjoys comics and hasn't had the pleasure of reading it. The only thing which disappointed me was that this is only Part 1 and so ends much earlier than I had expected. 10/10
