Yet another well made film to come out of Holland.The Dutch are making some really good films.May it continue!

Very good film. Lots of ups and downs. I can't say I could blame Mr. Heineken and what he did at the end. Really good movie.

Very good Kidnapping movie, well acted and directed even though the movie didn't show us how the police found them out (what clues if any) and the ending could have been much better, over all a good watch 7/10.

Very well made film.. interestingly done (had an almost 70's feel to it).Slow paced but keeps your attention.. funny to see how even though it was 'Europe' they still had the strict extradition laws. Well worth a watch.. and Mr. Hauer still has it.

Let's give credit where credit is due seeing as how it was his loved-once-again wife who organized the whole scenario. Well done.

Excellent screenplay with lots of tension and action but also well observed nuances of human psychology. Like somebody once wrote...when a person plays you with such cruelty and contempt, the question "why" is an irrelevant one. The meaningful question is "who". That kid revealed himself to be a certifiable psychopath. Heineken comes off as an introspective, strong man with a moral back bone. I thought he was going to lay it in him in the end there, but real power comes in holding back. He and his wife, who organized the last scenario, could just as well have had them smudged out, though for awhile, that's what I thought would happen anyway. Even if they are out now, karma is getting them.10/10

Good movie on a true story...the screenplay slightly tilts toward the almost heroic kidnappers...or was it my impression??? Rutger still as strong an actor as ever but I thought the editing could have made this movie leaner and faster,3/5.

It was okay. I've missed some inportant points in the story like: How did the police find out who has done it? How did the police located the hiding place? In real life they also kidnapped the driver and they were both kept caught for two days. The acting was good. I give this movie a 7/10.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, beer trucks on fire near the hard shoulder of orion...all those moments will be lost in time like beerdrops in the rain, ha ha great film, I wasn't expecting much after they were caught but that's where the films quality shines through 10/10

have to say ,this was really good.cant believe that these guys are now free of their prison sentences,yes our system sucks! hard criminals as these guys only got each like 5 to 7 years sentence and are now enjoying the "fruits" of their labor.like in the movie they didnt found all that ransom money back so we all know who`s enjoying that now. the main kidnapper(who got issues against Heineken in the movie)W.Holleeder filled a complain against the director for filming this event,but the only thing the director agreed to was to not use his real name in this movie. all and all ,if you dont know the story it will still keep your attention and interest towards this movie. 10/5 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willem_Holleeder
