bernie deserves to be acquitted

seriously the more i watch it this is dead on accurate to half of the southern community

i don't know why people didn't find this funny. I think if you happen to live in the south you might enjoy it more cause all of the little interviews have actors playing characters that are like a dime a dozen in the south. I mean there's no laugh out loud humor but if you've seen people like this you'll enjoy it more.

I really enjoyed that film with some very funny moments from some funny characters. Thanks for posting.

this was a great movie.

More proof - if we needed more - that life is stranger than fiction. As a Texan familiar with Carthage and east Texas I swear to you those people on the screen were as true to the area as could be. Great movie and exceptional acting all the way around.

Every now and then Jack Black reminds me that there is someone who can actually act stuck inside his clown car. I've never seen a movie Shirley MacLaine was in that wasn't good. Great cast and performances all around, definitely worth a watch.

In the little town of Carthage, Bernie Tiede was a god-like character before Marjorie Nugent's death. It pretty much seems like that at present, more than 2 decades after he killed her, if this story is anything to go by. I absolutely loved the documentary style of this movie n the exemplary acting by the entire cast. Solid movie, you gotta watch Jack Black shine in one of his most memorable roles yet. 5/5

this was recommended by a friend...said, "dont expect Jack and his usual antics". I liked his approach and the time he took to study Bernie himself. a different character for Jack and well acted. and he got to utilize the voice too. Enjoy!!!

I have been waiting and waiting for this movie to appear, I saw Jack Black on TV talk about it and it sounds amazing. Another true-crime, I love them!

Jack Black is really good in this, I'm so used to seeing him do the same character in almost every movie but he pulls this different role off very well. The movie itself is a nice mix of small town drama with a touch of comedy and a slightly sinister twist that keeps it interesting. Worth a watch 7/10
