I remember watching the episodes years ago, this has not let me down.. WOW! a must watch for anyone.

amazing movie! story structure and animation was splendid

WOW!,,,this movie was so....so....mann I cant even find the words right now to express how this movie amazed me. It was all around well done. animation wise a well as story wise. I cant wait for part two and I feel sorry for Guts.

this was a great film. the cel shading was amazing. And the story was engaging and well put together. my only gripe with it was the 3d battle scenes. the mouths were poorly animated in those scenes and some of the battle animations looked halfassed. But other than that this was an amazing watch. the second parts supposed to come out this month, I hope it reaches 1channel much faster than this one did. I had been waiting for this movie to pop up for quite a while. 9/10

"I want you Guts" quote is from manga [as I recall after this question Guts even asks Griffith if he is "a homo"]. If You read manga You can easily see that Guts/Griffith platonic relation is very deep:-)

Original anime did not include Skull Knight, Puk, Kushans etc. - I wonder how would these characters were introduced if OVA's "picked up" from the original series.

I know, and no, it is not.

I have only one gripe with this ova - they should have used "Forces" as a main music theme;-)

A thousand times better than the first time I'd watched it years ago!

I have been waiting for forever for this to finally be released, and I wasn't very pleased. While I realize its the entire Berserk anime slammed into a one hour film, this hour didn't do the anime justice. It totally missed out on the emotional bond between Griffith, Guts, & Casca. And it totally messed up several key lines that were huge in the anime. IE Changing "I want you to join us Guts!" to "I want you Guts" This kind of crap happens a lot. Seems they try and make Griffith out to be totally Gay, which he is not. (Him being gay wouldnt be a negative, just doesnt stick to the original anime) The cell shading was OK but that is about all this had going for it. Pretty animation, and it wasnt even top notch. All in all, if youve seen the Berserk Anime then watch it just for he heck of it, if not then go watch the Berserk anime right now and ignore this till then.

The animation was pretty darn good and the story was very intriguing with lots of underlying mystery; but I thought that this period movie had a bit too much blood, guts and gore. Still, for those that like that kind of thing then this animated film will be right up your alley. :)
