Watch Jûsan-nin no shikaku: In 1844, the peace of Feudal Japan is threatened by cruel Lord Naritsugu Matsudaira, who is politically rising and getting closer to his half-brother, the shogun. After the harakiri of the Namiya clan leader, samurai Shinzaemon Shimada is summoned by the shogun's advisor Sir Doi of the Akash Clan to listen to the tragedy of Makino Uneme, whose son and daughter-in-law have been murdered by Naritsugu. Then Sir Doi shows a woman with arms, legs and tongue severed by Naritsugu and she writes with her forearm a request to Shinza to slaughter Naritsugu and his samurais. Shinza promises to kill Naritsugu and he gathers eleven other samurais and plots a plan to attack Naritsugu in his trip back... |

Definitely worth a watch!! The plot was good and well thought out. The characters were all like-able but not remember able by name unfortunately. That shogun was one sick bastard!!! He deserved a slow death. If only the shoguns subordinates werent so loyal then maybe his reign wouldnt have lasted so long. I would give this a 9 out of 10 but what knocked my rating for it down a peg was that ONE, ILLOGICAL POINT IN THE STORY!! What the fack was up with the mountain hunter????? How he hell did he survive?! Everyone was dying in a logical manner but nooooo I guess the writers had a certain liking towards this character or just wanted to go derp in the end and pull this stunt. Seriously when the nephew asked him " Are you immortal?" I was wondering THE SAME THING!!! Like really? Come on mann -____- Anyways, definitely worth a watch even for its length. My mind never wondered. 8/10

A true tribute to old style samurai films (7 Samurai) with a character tribute to Toshori Mifune. The fight scene at the end is probably one of the biggest unexpected pay offs I have ever seen. Worth every minute! 5/5
