This was a really great documentary/interview set. It was fairly short, but that was actually a good thing, as some WWII pictures have a tendency to be rather long, which can be boring for people who aren't into it or don't know much about WWII. Personally, it could've lasted three hours and I'd have been alright with that, but you can tell this is made for an audience with any level of knowledge, which is great. It brought up ALOT of oft overlooked aspects of the war and more importantly the returning soldiers. It also offered viewpoints on what the world was really like upon their return without the rose colored glasses that are often employed in these types of films. It never came across as preachy or with an agenda, and I appreciated that. It was an honest and sincere attempt to give the viewer a look inside the lives of remarkable people, the actual societal issues surrounding the soldiers returning to civilian life, and how the society was affected both at large and on a personal level. In alot of ways, I wish a documentary had been seen by the public at large prior to our boys returning from Vietnam, maybe things could've been different. It was interesting to internally denote the similarities between attitudes of the public towards the WWII vets and contrast that with public sentiment towards the Nam vets. I hope people take away from this that regardless of whether you agree with war or not, the veterans need our understanding and compassion, regardless of the war, regardless of the cause, these men and women really have no idea of what they're getting into and we as civilians have no idea of what they go through. I appreciate the film makers giving us a glimpse into that world.

As a fan of both "Band of Brothers" & "The Pacific" this documentary was fantastic. God bless the greatest generation! 9/10
