lot's of action.. almost same concept with DREED

Screw that. That was one bad ass son of a bitch, he almost killed both of them.

For those that thought there is no story, it's simple, a raid organised by corrupt cop/s, no back up, into enemy territory, young just out of academy cop, looking for big brother lost in big city jungle, whom happens to be part of the bad guy set. Dire living/corruption/drugs/inhumanity/concrete jungle. The acting was very strong I thought. Of course, bonus for me, I speak malay/indonesian.

The throwing of the arms/hands around is part of silat, it's a distraction technique, whilst getting into the right stance or strike. This is my third time watching, hmmm still as good as first time.

Thats silat for you....hand gesture is part of the practice, before the kill so to speak. Silat is almost poetry in motion, and devastation.

Just rewatched this, still gripping, directing, script and actions surpasses all expectations.... Learnt my lesson, won't be watching MIB till a better copy comes along.

Definitely great fight scenes and sound effects,fun to watch....only two observations:when they attack one at the time it tends to become hilarious when in most cases it's more difficult than killing zombies.

Good action.. Brilliant Martial Arts! 8/10

This is looking seriously good, with a lot of amazingly well staged fight scenes. I'm going to wait for a DVD copy before I finish watching it though. The only thing I see as a drawback is everyone is constantly screaming "Arghhhh!!" at each other all the way through the movie.

though the quality was ok, this movie was good, great story line and fight scenes were very good

absolutely worth it, drove from chelmsford to anchorage and back to watch it, best damn decision i'v made in a long time. the raid was amazing, the choreography that went in to this film was litorally the best i have ever seen, and i have seen a $#!+ load of MA films. previous fave - legend of drunken master end scene. current fave - The raid end figh with mad dog. lol, the only thing i found weird was that the same dude played ikos brother in both merantau and the raid, when the films have no relation to one another. they should have given him a chance to kick some ass in merantau aswell, cuz that dude can wail. recomended watch for all martial arts movie fans, it simply blows all out the water. current top 5: the raid legend of drunken master (you know the end fight was amazing) ong bak 2 the protector (jaa vs crowder ftw) undisputed 3 honorable mentions chocolate raging pheonix the man from nowhere (insane knife fight at end) mr nice guy georgious merantau BKO the list could go on forever....

Great movie! i haven't been this satisfied with a movie in a long time. Bad subs though but the movie more than made up for it. WOW!!!!!!

wow !!!!! that was amazing. some of the best 'kung-fu' ive seen since bruce lee. pure action and thrill all the way through. plain and simple, your retarded if u don't watch this film.
