P.S, Evan Ross looks nothing like Diana. He's actually a cute kid lol.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was very moving, heart felt, and very sad. He could have been so much more. This is an urban film, and shows that no matter what your color is, in real life you have to make choices. And this movie isn't about socioeconomics either, its about choices. Every person who lives in the hood isn't a gangbanger, because they choose not to be. I'm surprised that people are saying this was a bad movie. This to me is what 90% of "real" America is. I like the comment about the new car, and the ipod, most of American can't afford either of the two, and are often times placed in situations like this. I actually feel sorry for Drake. Had he made the decision to end it, it might not have turned out as bad. It would have been bad for him regardless, because of that lil complexion thing, but at least he would have less regret and guilt. For those of you complaining, if you would have paid attention to the scene where they pulled him over, and really understood it, you would understand why he made the choices that he made. I'm sure most of you have never experienced what it's like. For the rest of you out there, enjoy, excellent film.

I am surprised that I liked this one, but it had a very interesting social topic, which kept me interested throughout. The actors did a decent job, some parts of the script could have been tighter but overall I really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a watch in my opinion.

acting was respectable. Typical story, which made it predictable. I did like the two main actors, Evan Ross and brittnay snow, who kept the flim steady. The character decisions portrayed by Evan Ross was a rollercoaster of stupidity. Makes you wonder if they're even realistic given how much was at stake for him. I didnt exactly enjoy this, but I didn't hate it. 2*

Definitely, definitely worth a watch...this movie tells a great story, one that is told for purpose, a meaning behind it, a message. Some great acting here, well-directed, deep characters...definitely recommended. This is a movie that's gonna stick with me, in terms of the choices one makes in certain extreme situations 7/10

I read the reviews below after watching this movie...i am glad i did...I don't see how anyone could say this wasn't a great movie...true to life...Obviously they have never had to make these types of decision before...I have...It is never easy but it is what makes you human and what makes you a better person...This movie shows the struggles a lot of people never have to face in life...And it shows the mind set when your forced into a situation that is out of your control...Definitely a 10/10 movie for me...maybe it will help others understand life is not if you get the new IPOD before everyone else or if mommy and daddy buy you a car and pay for your school...it is real life...i hope you enjoy this as much as i did...And best yet i hope you are never on either end of a situation like the one depicted in this story

7/10, It was definitely a Good watch. Evan Ross did a convincing job for me in this.. a sad, reality based story set in the south ..of impressionable teens without the sense of right and wrong.

It was a very good movie was worth my time but jumping back and forth in time made it difficult but still a good movie i would give it 8/10

I don't believe these were "True-Events" or similar posts Please be aware "True Events" is totally different to "True Story" A movie based on a true story, tells facts that happened in a historical time or individual(s). A movie based on True Events is basically stories that have happened to people but doesnt have to be hostorically accurate, be based on 1 individuals life. This movie is talking about a group of people in the wrong place at the wrong time, which lead to a dissaster. Many people have been accomplices to murder who didnt wish or want to participate in it in the past, Example: A bank robber without a car, knows if he tells his friend his going to rob a bank he wont provide the ride, thus silence is golden, then the bank robery takes effect and the driver is then caught up in a dilemah, do I stop whilst his armed, do I stop and let my friend who I know better than the police sentence him to life when I could probably talk him into putting it right etc etc There has been several historical situations where murders have taken place, roberies, students murdered or raped and this movie is just based around those scenarios thus "Based on true events" So Duaneeds, I hope this helps you understand the difference and why there is more value to the movie than you believe. The story was well told how everything came together Remember Carly was on the debate team also supporting capital punishment Drey was going to be a role model to his friends and succeed at making it thru uni Drey also was pushed to the floor and searched for drugs, when they had no real reason to do that by the police (Police oppresion and racism) So for Drey to hand over the criminal, we all saw how Dreys employer was treated by the hospital and police when he genuingly helped out
