The Theatre Bizarre: Down a seedy city street in her neighborhood, young Enola Penny is obsessed with what appears to be a long abandoned theatre. One night, she sees that the front door is slightly ajar and impulsively decides to sneak inside. But there in the dark, decrepit auditorium, a show unlike any other unfolds before her eyes. Its host is an eerie human puppet named Peg Poett who will introduce Penny to six tales of the bizarre: A couple traveling in a remote part of the French Pyrenees cross paths with a lustful witch; A paranoid lover faces the wrath of a partner who has been pushed to her limit; The Freudian dreams of an unfaithful husband blur the lines between fantasy and reality; The horrors of the real world are interpreted through the mind of a child; A woman addicted to other people's memories gets her fix through the vitreous fluid of her victims' eyeballs; And a perverse obsession with sweets turns sour for a couple in too deep. But as the stories unfold, something much stranger is happening to Enola. Something irreversible and horrific. Something that awaits its next audience in THE THEATRE BIZARRE. |

Hmmm, I think that this was probably a university/college art video.. I can't see someone directing something serious like this. I had to put it off myself as it's not my style of film. Some may find it interesting, especially if you like bizarre art :)

Not exactly what I expected. I wouldn't compare the short films to that of Tales from the Darkside, as I find those to be much better, and less 'bizarre' than this film. 'Sweets' was pretty gross (last story) and the ending was rather predictable. Watched once, is enough ...

The Theatre Bizarre doesn't live up to its hype. The pieces aren't particularly bloody or bizarre. There were some irony reversal moments, as all good horror shorts should have (a la Creepshow or Tales from the Crypt), but the stories weren't that well written, plus the framework for the anthology felt too contrived. But the movie is worth one watch, at least for the Savini piece and the last two pieces if nothing else. 3/5

Bizarre was a good description of this movie. I am still trying to figure out if I wasted my time watching the whole thing. OK for a one time watch, if you absolutely can't find anything better.

sex, relationships, cheaters, death, yet bizarre...sounds like everyday life...looked boring at first til i got into it and don't know what else to say lol

This was awesome for an obviously low budget film, IDC what anyone says. The gore in "vision stains" and "sweets" was nauseating. Definitely Tales from the Crypt except written by satan. 8/10

The kid one is so boring. When you get to it, skip to 01:11. The rest is great.

I love anthologies, and this one was GREAT!.. the music in many segments aided in the creep factor. It was artful, and scary without being too gory. Definitely my kinda movie!!!

the last story was the best story although it was really gross. The others were okay I guess. I dunno, it was okay for a one time watch but not one of my favorites. And the ending was predictable too.

PRETTY EFFING AWESOME!!! THE CHILD ONE WAS BORING AND THE ONE AFTER THE LAST ONE WAS THE BEST EVEN THOUGH BEGINNING A BIT BORING AND SLOW. INTENSE THRILLER~

Not bad at all if you love the disturbing type of horror genre. I'm not usually a fan of the low budget type films but i really like this one. Wouldn't go as far as to say its a favourite, far from it, but i watched it expecting to be highly disappointed so its a lot better than i thought it would be. 6.5/10.

I wonder who really here is a Horror buff? Not one mention of Udo Kier as the sort of Theatre ringmaster. Nor Tom Savini, nor Debbie Rochon; who after all these years ,is still a hottie. The Movie reminded me a bit of those stories from the Masters Of Horror series. They were not all horror, but definately disturbing. The "Fun House" segments inbetween the stories were the best part. The whole feel of how one soul is drained ,while another comes to life was very entertaining. My favs were "Wet Dreams", Tom Savini's entry, Mother Of Toads; who I thought kinda plyed on, Dario Argento's "Mother Of Tears", "Sweets" ,which was rather "toungue in cheek", and vision stains; which was rayther original in its idea. I will say this. The woman are rather disturbing coldhearted bitches. While the men are portrayed as spineless, pathetic, losers. Just in time for Valentine's Day.

I was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. It's definitely low budget, but still enjoyable. My favorite stories are 2 and 4. I was hungry before watching 'Sweets', now I can't stomach the thought of food, lol. 7/10
