Great movie, totally loved it.

For the people saying it's on the religious side, that's because it was written by a Christian man who wanted to prove that faith in the lord can bring about so much. It preached because it's a Christian movie. Also it's made by a Christian company. same for fireproof and left behind and facing the giants. they are all made by the same company. and Sony is the DVD publisher, not the people who have anything to do with the movies. also the company was started by a church.

this movie was very powerful and very emotional and something i can relate to. maybe becuz my father wasn't there for me or mybe becuz i felt that theres a daddy in me and i've never had a son or a daughter. 10/10 a must see for all believers

OMG! This is one of my favorite moves EVER!!! I had never even heard of it, but i caught the beginning at the nail salon and knew I had to come home and find it. IDK why they would show it there, because there wouldn't be a dry eye in the place!!! I recommend this move to ANY and EVERYONE! Understand off the rip that it follows a religious theme, but the meaning and the lesson behind it is AMAZING AND UNFORGETTABLE! It makes EVERYONE think about the people in their lives and the responsibility of the roles in their lives. If you are just dating, it makes you rethink the type of person you want to attract and end up with. If you are married, it makes you rethink if you are living up to the expectations of your mate and/or family and whether/how you NEED to STEP IT UP a notch. It teaches you to VALUE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE TIME THAT YOU HAVE TO SPEND WITH A PERSON, because they could be gone in an instant...AND IT COULD BE ANYONE. There are many lessons to be learned and AN EXTREME AMOUNT of tears to be shed/wiped when you watch this movie! I have suggested it to EVERYONE!!!

GREAT Movie!!! Showing love without sex, showing guns without blood flying everywhere, and lasting 2 hours without being board once, now that takes talent!

While this is set in a Christian theme, the movie is more about leadership and in particular family leadership. It is also about mom and dad's standing up and actively participating, leading, and teaching their children to become responsible members of society in general. That is what we need more of.... ictvaper

love this movie..i first saw it at my church's movie night and it really moved me....its not all about religious veiws ppl...it has a msg for every father out there..not having a man to steer u in the right direction is one of the main reason for the jail cells to be filled with so many young men and even young women as the girls are also feeling the effect of being fatherless or for having a dead beat father

To my surprise this was a really good movie. From the beginning when it started off with shocking action I already felt good about the movie and it just got better all the way through... Definitely kept my attention. This movie actually had me crying. I love movies about doing the right thing because I always learn something!

This film absolutely took my breathe away, i've seen some truly inspiring films in my time, but this just blew me away, if your a father, you NEED to watch this, & then ask yourself some serious questions, i know i did, 10/10. :-)

I do agree about how this is emotionally charged propaganda but christians love the "law" and forcing their ways down peoples throats. That is the way of the bible. The bible states very specificlly about punishment for many things such as hair style and adultery. It also prescribes stoning for unmarried sex and many other "sins". I would just like to live in peace without judgement based on a book followed without rational thought. With religious people intent on making what their imaginary god says to them in their head law for all to be forced to follow or be imprisoned that is hard in the USA.

This movie is meant for christians people to watch so they can pat each other on that back about their policies and what they try to say they believe in. As a member of a non geesus religion I find it scary as they feel good about locking people up over life choices. The murderers and thieves are one thing but if that was a bag of cocaine isn't that a seed bearing plant extract? Something under the christian bible is supposed to be kosher right? My religion dictates that I do not dictate what other do but I can ask why or for them not to nicely. I am not supposed to enforce my will onto others and hopefully they will not force their ways onto me. With christians around I find it hard to see that happening. From an outside view looking into the christian church it seems a large part of it is corrupt and seeks power over others in politics and is being backed by people just using their god as a way to gain a voting base. If that is true I hope they can see that and realize just because someone else agrees or says they agree in the same gods they do not have to agree in the same possible oppressive politics. I am a member of a small Taoist sect known for taking it easy, living simply, and being humble. We believe in balance in the universe and claim no hierarchy and most of all do not bind others to rules. That is our one rule. And maybe if its over the line you should mark it zero.

I do not believe in God, but this movie had a great message.. And as a father, if you didnt cry, you need to check yourself

This is probably one of the most obnoxious movies ever made.

everything about this movie apart from it needing to press religious beliefs was good. How about instead of believe in religion and treat people good, just treat people good end of! Religion in my eyes does not need to come into it.

Well done because i like everything about the teachings both good & bad.
