The Art Of Getting By : Believing the quote that you are born alone, die alone and everything else is an illusion, George doesn't see the point of life, school, or homework. Then he meets Sally and he now has a reason to go to school and make friends, even if he's not ready to admit to himself or to her that he likes her. The school's principal and art teacher introduce him to an alumni, and successful artist, Dustin, who can help guide George along life's path, but other distractions start surfacing, and George might not even be able to graduate from high school. |

great movie, i feel like everyone goes through the grand themes at one point in their life, although I wish the ending was different. 4.5/5

This movie when i read the comments and looking at the trailer i thought it would be good or at least a decent romantic movie but now that i watched it i am like why did i even watch this crap. I could have watched any other movie even if it's crap i would have watched it but this movie just pissed me of. Even the ending was stupid and half of the movie never made sense not in terms of what was happening in the story but with the main two character i would give it 3/10

Nothing special, it was okay. I don't really the the point in the whole film though, usually at the end of a film you get the sense of what it meant.. With this it made no sense, I probably just didn't understand it much.

I loved this film; I love Emma Roberts. Great performances throughout. It was very natural. Ahh... The despondent times of an artist searching for meaning in life. Very relatable. 10/10

This movie got awful reviews from critics and I can't see why. The plot may have been a bit spotty in places but the characters were both earnest and genuine. I did however find that the sudden change of character was a bit unbelievable. Perhaps if it had been more gradual the critics might have liked it better.

i struggle with almost all of the same issues george does through the movie, so i connected easily with him but the pacing really seemed off for the first half hour. not only that, but the amount of alcohol being obtained through the film did not help suspend my disbelief. 6/10, decent one time watch but could have been much better.

10/10 , I loved this movie since I first saw it . The main character is kinda unique & the storyline of the movie is also interesting . '' Anything is possible,'' - kind of movie & definately one of my favourites :P
