The Field of Blood: Adapted from the popular Denise Mina novel and written and directed by David Kane (Taggart, Rebus, Sea Of Souls), crime drama Field Of Blood is set in Glasgow, 1982, and centres on would-be journalist Paddy Meehan (Jayd Johnson), a young copygirl working in a newspaper office. Stuck in an almost exclusively male-dominated world of limited opportunities and cynicism, Paddy dreams of becoming an investigative journalist - believing that in miscarriages of justice, reporters are sometimes the only hope. Funny, smart, and feisty, Paddy seizes an opportunity to kick start her career and becomes embroiled in a dark murder case. I thoroughly enjoyed "The field of Blood." It had a good solid plot that flowed from beginning to end and the little tid bit of Patricia's personal life intertwined with the main plot worked well. It gave a character that you would see blossom and wanted to root for. The cinematography was great. I have no complaints about the acting. I give it a 5/5. Definitely something to add to your movie watched list.

This was a good murder mystery/thriller. I enjoyed watching Paddy and the other characters throughout the story. It's interesting how all the facts intertwined. It kept my interest, nicely flowing.Good directing and cinematography.

I really liked this movie,you feel bad for the girl at times,it brings out a bunch of emotions,great acting and directing as well as the plot,kept my small mind wondering what was next,I like most Brit films,so I would say give this one a go old boy,,,,,so on a scale from 1-10 I rate this cup of tea a 8...now where is Agatha Christie :)

Tried to watch but it just couldnt hold my attention because of the strong accent. From the comments it really sounds like a good movie though.
