good doc. well done...we could learn a lot from the Amish

An interesting documentary indeed; This film takes a look at Amish culture and how their traditional religious beliefs are being put to the test by Evangelical Christianity in the modern age. The beliefs some of these people have about god and life just blew me away... Overall a good watch that holds your attention through the whole thing. I'd give it a 4/5.

I don't quite understand. The families leave the Amish church because they don't want rules...then adopt Christian beliefs and follow the bible to a tee? All they're really doing is exchanging one set of rules for another, but somehow they are oblivious to the fact that it's no different. Their belief in a god completely runs their entire lives. It's sad really. Life is much more enjoyable when you can think for yourself. What kills me is that he expects not to be a working member of society. Imaginary beings don't usually provide money, and you have children to take care of! I feel bad for those kids.
