Swamp Shark: Open on gorgeous swamplands of the Atchafalaya Basin in the summer. Lots of beautiful teens are at the beach the weekend before Gator Fest. That night an animal smuggling deal goes wrong and a large sea creature escapes into a swampy backwoods river. At the McDaniel's "Gator Shack" restaurant, a local, Jackson is drunk, and gets mangled to bits. The town sheriff blames the carnage on the McDaniel's "escaped" pack of gators and tries hauling them off to jail. Rachel McDaniel, head of the family, claims to have seen the fin of a shark! Rachel and her family, along with the help of a mysterious stranger, Charlie, take on the Swampshark and the law to clear their names, save Rachel's kid sister Krystal and prevent the unwitting folks at the upcoming Gator Fest from being torn to shreds by a beast the likes of which no one has ever seen! |

Kristy Swanson seems to make okay made for T.V. shark movies.She leads a capable cast with a tongue in cheek kind of comedy.The CGI effects are what you would expect and the ending is kind of out there.2/5.If you like this look up the much better shark movie(Red Water) also with the attractive kristy swanson and also starring Lou Diamond Philips.

Sorry, this is poorly acted, terrible special FX, Made little to no sense what-so-ever. Not even nudity to at least salvage the eye candy portion of most "Thrillers" Rates my lowest score to date... 3/10

I really enjoy Creature films. This one is another. I give the film 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I also liked it considering some of the newer syfy movies went a little over the top:) It was a good one time watch for me 7/10:)

well you know some SyFy flicks, right? this one is just go with the flow with, laid out pretty nice, you know me, but this believe it or not racked up a strong:B+. {it was good in my opinion}.

This is a great little creature feature with all of the cheesy acting and dodgy special effects that fans of the genre know and love.You can't go wrong with a good shark movie,even if this one happens to have taken up residence in a swamp,and as with any good shark movie there's plenty of blood for the gore hounds out there,7/10.

Bad special effects, cheesy plots, and familiar faces abound. Is it bad? Probably. Is it gory? Heck yeah. It's got all the dodgy facets that make monster movies like this good for a rainy weekend. Warning: May contain highly improbable and insanely awesome uses of watercraft. 4/5.
