There are a few real jerks competing this season. I have an issue with female chefs that automatically say 'I don't like working with other women' as well. Hopefully these types will be eliminated sooner rather than later.

Ah crud. That was a good episode though and at least I can go eat at the restaurant that chef works at as it is in my city.

Woohoo! It's back!! I was suffering from withdrawal symptoms after masterchef professional au ended recently. Top Chef Canada has a certain je ne sais quoi...... I am with smc below, there's quite a few of them(jerks that is), and in particular, in reference to the unreasonable bitchy behaviour which did impacted on the team, and the male judges prefer one to the other for doubtful reason, (mc'ewan had an excuse to cover it up). I look forward to seeing how long she would last....and whether she got the skills to back up her mean attitude and aspirations. I quite like the hostess too!

Connie's restaurant (Charcut) is amazing. One of the best meals I've ever had. I'm rooting for her and Todd, because I'm a Calgary girl now, but I grew up in a Newfie community and whenever he opens his mouth, it makes me homesick. That said, I don't like the host or that skinny loudmouth judge, and I think we could've found someone more charismatic for head judge, as talented as McEwan is.

Cant wait. looks awesome so far. i love all the top chef shows, canada is my favorite.

Holy moly this show is wicked addictive. i love all the top chefs except texas. this new Canada Series is brilliant and wicked awesome

The hostess for the new season is hysterically awful! I thought the last one was bad given her CNN newscaster voice, but this one is terrible. They just wanted another Padma, but she is no Padma. In episode 3, you see her very unattractive habit of opening her mouth twice as much as is needed to eat her bite of food, and her rubbery lips bend outward in the most strange and unappetizing way! She also wipes the length of her grey tongue with a tissue on camera because she can't stand the taste of the food she just spit out. Very weird eater. Someone please watch Season 2 Episode 3 and tell me if you don't see what I see(or do). I don't know about her acting abilities, but I think she should have stayed in Bollywood.

FROM CANADA? COOL... but, I did not hear one person say - EH :) I believe that I shall enjoy this series from Canada. There are some very skilled chefs yet NOT very drastically different styles... and there are some chefs that are a little lost on the big stage of TV. Anyway, I expect good cooking all around. It's time for another shot of Tequila and another episode, eh :) CHEERS FROM CANCUN MEXICO!!!

I wish there was another season soon! This show was great to watch until you got to see Padma an the REAL Top Chefs.

I think they keep the bitchy ones around for as long as they can cause they boost ratings and viewer discussions...
