4) The Getaway 5) Pappillon 6) Nevada Smith 7) Cincinatti Kid 8) The Hunter. All these are must see movies for any1 who likes steve mcqueen. even if you've never seen a mcqueen movie, you must see the top 5, because they are all great classics. Also recommend a few Charles Bronson movies 1) Death Wish 1-3 2) Death Hunt 3) Dirty Dozen 4) Valachi Papers 5) Mr. Majestyk 6) The Mechanic, and of course 7) The Great Escape, and 8) Magnificent 7. if you are a true film lover then there is no excuse for you to see any of these films if you haven't already. and if you don't, then you are no real film lover

i grew up watching all steve mcqueen's movies. bullitt, while not my favorite mcqueen movie, it ranks in my top ten movies of all time ( only behind mcqueens other movies. but this film is a classic. it shows why mcqueen was and always will be the King of Cool. he was such a badass that every guy wanted to be like. and the chase scene did set the bar for then current and future car chases. he did do his own driving in this as well as le mans, the great escape (except the motorcycle jump), as well as other movies. he was professional motorcycle and car racer. the only other movie i can remember that has a chase scene up to par with this the original Gone in 60 seconds. not the bullshit angelina jolie one. mcqueen always kept his cool in a film, always shows that he's the man. the only other actors that have that same charisma are paul newman, charles bronson and deniro. if you want to see some of the best mcqueen has to offer i highly recommend you see 1) The Great Escape 2) Sand Pebbles 3) Magnificent 7

Very good old school classic. Known for its car chase scenes which take place in the streets of San Francisco. Watch it if you are into action.

Is great film-wanted to see it for the car chase but was also enthralled all the way through.is bit like the dirty harry films with the production etc but also reminds me of daniel craig (the new bond). I think mcqueen (part from his accent) would of been a great bond

I watched this as a kid with my dad, he had a charger and he cursed the producers for wrecking so many during filming. Other than the chase scene and the 70's music the movie itself was awful and I'm a McQueen fan. 2/5

So how many hubcaps does he lose in the chase scenes? LOL Great movie :-) Another classic by Steve McQueen!

Great movie. Steve McQueen is awesome, as usual. Small thing really, but both the 'Bullshit' in this, and the 'Oh shit' in the Towering Inferno somehow fit the moment in each case so perfectly. Seems like you see so many movies where the swearing seems out of place or contrived.

My first car was '69 mustang fastback... so naturally when I was driving I was no longer a geeky kid but was as cool as Steve McQueen. In my eyes he and Paul Newman were the coolest dudes in the world so any movie he and Newman were in were the best.. Thus I am a bit bias when I say this is one of the greatest movies ever filmed, and let’s face it the chase sceen through the streets of San Francisco is indeed intense .I know from experience you cant safely drive more then 30mph there

Steve McQueen was usually worth watching no matter what he was in, although he did a few stinkers like everyone else. This is not one of them; he's excellent here as an intense but low-key cop. It's a pretty solid police thriller which features a famous car-chase scene that supposedly set the standard (or maybe it did at the time of release.) What's interesting to note, according to a documentary on the DVD, is that McQueen did his own driving! No stuntman for him, even at 110 miles per hour through the streets. Speaking of streets, San Francisco always makes for an interesting local. Robert Vaughn, Don Gordon, Jacqueline Bissett, Simon Oakland and Robert Duvall complete the big-name cast, but this is McQueen's movie all the way.....and, for a film almost 40 years old, it's not very dated. 7.5/10 Stars
