This movie has been on my to watch list for the longest time, and I've finally found the time, and it was definitely time well spent. Kind of a tales from the crypt western, easily one of the best revenge films I've ever seen! Check it out Eastwood fans 9/10

'Un hombre sin nombre'. No actor ever filled so many lead roles with so few words, as Clint. The film couldn't work otherwise. I don't think you get it Matt when you say the character is 'undeveloped'. He's a cyper, the dead/undead nemesis, a semi-supernatural figure. (All the townsfolk have much less screen time, but we know exactly what's inside them well enough). Probably the oldest story in western [?] lit. Clint really pulls it off. Satisfying.

I like Clint Eastwood and I liked westerns, but I didn't like this movie as well as some other ones I have watched.

The man with no name literally rapes a town in revenge. This is a full on western with no holds barred, welcome to hell!

An average movie that struggles with poor character development in a Cliché frontier town that has its own 'dark secrets'. you want to want someone to win but its only ever really about Eastwood's character, which is underdeveloped at best - The storytelling flat-lines and It makes you feel removed from events. Not to mention the rape scene... why oh why? There are better westerns out there this one is a dead end.

I don't understand how you can call yourself a film fan and not think of this as a classic. This movie should be in any Top 5 Westerns list. 10/10. I love the underlying story and the otherwordly elements that are presented. It's like a Twilight Zone Western. One of Clint's best movies. Watch it.
