Absentia: Tricia's husband Daniel has been missing for seven years. Her younger sister Callie comes to live with her as the pressure mounts to finally declare him 'dead in absentia.' As Tricia sifts through the wreckage and tries to move on with her life, Callie finds herself drawn to an ominous tunnel near the house. As she begins to link it to other mysterious disappearances, it becomes clear that Daniel's presumed death might be anything but 'natural.' The ancient force at work in the tunnel might have set its sights on Callie and Tricia ... and Daniel might be suffering a fate far worse than death in its grasp. |

Pretty good movie. The characters were interesting enough so "long" scenes didn't feel boring. I loved the lack of jump-scares. US movies aren't known for atmosphere but this one definitely had some. Most importantly, the ending made sense.

Saw this at a film festival, very creepy and with an original mythology that reminded me of some parts of Troll Hunter. Great story, a little slow paced but I loved it.

I absolutely LOVED this movie. It was scary and crazy and I loved the eerie thought of that creature in the tunnel. I didn't think it was slow and long but it builds to the finish and it was very good.

Painfully slow movie. Actors were pretty good and it did have some 'make you jump' moments but that's about it. Would not watch this again. 3/5

Tis isn't the best horror of the year bt it definitely had it's moments. Wat impressed me was of talented the director is at maintaining the tense pace n making the movie look more expensive than wat he actually spent. The actors did a good job 2 n i like the fact tat it's better than sm high budget horror movies.

Personally I found this film a little slow moving and boring in places. Though I did watch til the end and there were a few "jump" scenes I wouldn't want to watch it again! Not to say it wasn't well acted and different, because it was.

ufliq is frustrating, i downloaded the things that needed to be downloaded and installed the ccodec then went to the site, once again instead of playing the movie, it asked to download the same crap again. WTF, am I doing something wrong? Someone said it is a trojan, if it is, then why do people keep posting ufliq links?

its a good film, it is strange, & the pace is slow, almost sedate, but it builds nicely to a creepy finale, its got a good story well told, a very good(if unknown)cast, & it doesn't rely on cheap jumps & over the top gore & cgi fx, i enjoyed it, stick with it & you might too. 8/10 :-)

I'm surprised that this movie turned out as good as it did. Sure, it could've been edited so it wasn't so long in some parts, but everything worked. The acting was decent and you can tell the director put a lot of his soul into it. The ending has a finality that's creepy but I won't say anymore than that. I do think if he does a sequel, they definitely need to get the military involved, and that includes the Army Corps of Engineers. By the way, I thought you should know it takes about 54 minutes for something supernatural to happen, but just hang in there.

Bravo to the creators of the movie. Very unique, original and has a creepy feel all the way through kept me wondering 24/7. Loved it, though very different from your usual horror.
