That was a superb drama. Beautifully acted and this was the first film I have seen Penelope cruz in...I was impressed. Kingsley and hopper were fantastic as usual. This film has definatly left an impression on me. 10/10

A vicious and biting drama, the best kind. Chock-full of brilliant performances from everyone involved, Elegy is nothing short of extraordinary. Ben Kingsley, especially, as a misogynistic professor profoundly changed by his student (Cruz) is top-notch. And Meyer, who directed Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, makes a 180° turn from sci-fi to write one of the best screenplays of 2008.

I don't usually like drama/romance movies but this one was very good. Great acting all around. RIP Dennis Hopper. He did a great job in this. Sadder than Forrest Gump, haha. I want to say more but I won't. Definitely worth your time to watch in my opinion. 4/5.

I'm 64, gay and always have said that I didn't know what love. This movie showed me true love. The soundrack is also very peaceful. A terrific performance by Ben Kingsley. Without hesitation I give it 9/10.

Cried buckets.. But I think that was due to the music on the closing scene! (Have since fallen in love with Max Richter) Cruz & Kingsley are both amazing in this.
