(stagevu) Good Movie. Man,that could be one of us that is what made this movie good. That could really happen to anyone of us. i give it 8/10. Very watchable, one of those movies that if you give it a chance it gets better as it moves along. The acting was pretty good. and the kids were real good in this movie. Enjoy!!!

I can't really recommend this movie. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that good. I guess you could say it's not total crap. The basics - A vacationing couple runs across a group of teenagers, the teens are not nice people. The couples van gets stolen, the couple finds it with the teens, there's a confrontation, teens dog gets killed, then all hell breaks loose as the teens are out for bloody revenge. It's a chase and hide in the woods movie.

When the main characters of a horror/thriller movie keep taking the wrong decisions, start acting all superior or think they can save the day all by themselves, they slowly bore the life outta me and I'm just glad someone comes along to stab them repeatedly. Is it weird?

I guess a good horror movie should make you root for the victim, so you can identify and get freaked out ("oh my god, I wish this never happens to me blablabla"). I did find some scenes pretty tight, the stabbing initiation/ rite of passage was a great idea, pretty good, pretty realistic (way too much blood though, in horror movies the victims always seem to suffer from hemophilia).

The ending made me mad, complete fabrication, suddenly we're in twilight zone where everybody's a sicko, sorry but we're not in the 12th century anymore. But again, that woman was so dumb, it's like oh, whatever, just go die in some corner.

City couple Jenny and Steve are eager to get away from it all. The beautiful surroundings of eden lake seem like the perfect place for a secluded, romantic break in the country, untill they realise that it isnt as deserted as they'd hoped. After being attacked by a group of local delinquents Steve and Jennys car is stolen and Steve is brutality tortured. Suddenly the weekend turns into a sadistic game of survival and escalating violence........With a surprising and shocking climax

What an amazing film! Eden Lake is a definite winner in my book. From start to finish you're locked in your seat until the bitter end. Ok not immediately, but after the first 30 minutes it's on! And the pacing is brisk and even, it's not too fast or too slow. And the level of suspense is very high. You’ll definitely be on the edge of your sleep, mainly shouting at the screen. The acting is top notch all around. Everyone's A-game is in this film with stand outs going to Kelly Reilly, who does an amazing job for all she has to do. You just feel so bad for her character and you want her to get through it all, but at the same time you want her to start kicking some butt, kudos Miss Reilly for a job well done. Finally the gore is top-notch and no holds barred. You'll cringe at some of the horrific events of the film. You’ll also beg for a different ending.
