could not believe how fast the time went,i thought it was a brill 9/10

Min-sik Choi of the 'Oldboy' movie fame has returned in this movie in what i would say is an amazing performance by him and all other actors in this movie ... great plot , great story , and very gory in many parts ... Another Korean movie that already adds to a large selection of some of the best movies i have ever seen ..... Korean cinema along with British cinema has this gritty and realistic feel that is so dam entertaining in movies, Korean movies involved me into Asian cinema and its the continuous releases from Korea that really shine in shocking cinema productions ..... 9/10 for certain

the concept of catch and release in this one is so funny . everytime he proceeded to do something screwed up he would be caught and punished, it was a great movie to watch 4/5

I see this film as a story about grief rather than revenge. It is thriller but much sadder than most. Very good too.

brilliant film..its a long film,dark and brutal with not much let up..think you need to be in the mood to really enjoy it..i went to the english premier at the london-korean film festival and there was a QnA with Jee Woon Kim after the film...he said it was banned in korea amongst many other country's(it didnt get a cinema release in england)...but was released in canada as a PG13 rating !!!madness!!..anyway,two of my favourite actors.Choi mis sik(oldboy),Byung Hun Lee is amazing..if youve not seen A Bittersweet Life,watch it ..awesome film.. theres plenty of korean gems out there,theyre leading the way with originality,cinematography ,acting and true film direction....

wow what a gd film

Wow!...What an incredible Movie, Nobody does it like Asian cinema, Hollywood is restrained by Too many ratings protocols, for being a free country there are soo many restraints that do not allow them to make the gritty, raw, and visually blindsiding stories that fans of the genre's wish to see. Thank god for foreign film. It was as realistic as it gets. I've been a major fan of foreign cinema for years now and always will be. they tell a story like no other.

This movie has it ALL Violence,action and story telling...Oh yeah OLD BOY plays the main antagonist need I say more. 9/10

I believe he was crying an intense whole body sobbing of loss. With the death of the killer - at his hands - he had become (albeit for only one goal) a killer himself. With that realization he was capable of being a killer he was morning the loss of his fiancee, the killer to some degree and his own morality. His life will never be the same and he'll never shake the harm that came to pass by his doing, his revenge and his choices.

Just brilliant in all ways.. intense and riveting. As dsternau put it as the film progresses you see changes in both lead characters which is bitter sweet. I couldn't agree more. More than once my jaw hit the floor and I had to re-watch trying to catch a flaw or two... but never could. Brilliant film!

One of the best revenge films I have ever seen! Sad in away since it shows you just how cruel people can be to one another. And also how sometimes you have to become a monster to defeat one. Also not for the feint of heart. 10/10 do not let this one slip by!

If you're chasing monsters, make dam sure you don't become one lol ok i'm done :)

I've not seen Oldboy yet, so i can't compare it to that, in fact, i can't tink of a singe movie to compare it to, so i have to give this one a 5/5. Orginality, plot, acting...all around great. Many things in this movie that make you question if what he did was right. :)

As much a psycho thriller as a gore fest. Thhe Koreans really know how to go there. 8/10

although it had its moments, it wasnt as "amazing" as all the comments make it out to be. It is however a good movie, 7/10
