I love JLo but sh'e is not at her best in this movie. Wish she would be given some stuff that's a bit more believable, always light comedy, it's a bit, like, well, she's latina, right, so she couldn't do drama, right? Anyway the plot's a bit lame, but likable. It's a lot like A Modern Affair, the story line is very similar, though they're pretty different movies in other ways, A Modern Affair is a bit more serious even if it's also sweet and funny. Ok, now waiting for The Switch with jennifer A to compare!!

Jennifer Lopez at her best in this movie, Im not one for sappy love movies but i enjoyed this movie. The comedy was refreshing and the acting was great with an all star acting cast(seeing mr cunningham from happy days so old was sad) Overall i Gave this movie 4/5 stars and a must watch...

Watched out-of-boredom, super surprised!!! This is not the "usual chck-flick" I expected it to be. Both leads did a great job, and the plot....entertaining enough for girls and guys. And while I am NOT a big J-LO fan, she did an amazing job and I would def recommend this for a feel good movie, or even date night.

It started off a little slow for me, but i'd invested to much of my precious time into watching it.. so i had to continue watching it lol.. but shockingly, it turned out to be a really cute chick fick!! so I give it a 3 out of 5 freaking stars ^__^

Saw this movie in theaters with my friend and loved it!!! It was the best movie I've seen yet and plan to watch it over and over again!! I would recommend this movie to anybody!! It looks like a movie that is an OK movie but this was amazing!!

The plot is fresh and original, at least I've never seen anything like it before. This film actually has two options. #1 To be a serious drama about a "middle aged" woman and the choices she makes. #2 To be hilarious and make the audience laugh all the way home. Somehow this movie is attempting both which unfortunately results in a chick flick so weak that not even the girliest of girls (that would be me), would bother watching.. again. It has a few good scenes here and there, but not enough to make it worth watching a second time. Being quite the J.Lo fan, this movie really was a disappointment, as I had looked forward to her comeback. But generally, a few comedic moments and laughable dialogue is not enough of a reason to go see this film. Definitely save your money and stay far far away from this one. The Back-up Plan could have been different from most rom-coms due to the fact that everything is done backwards, with Zoe getting pregnant before she starts dating and before she falls in love (bit like Knocked Up in this sense). But the courtship of Zoe and Stan is rushed through so rigorously that we never get the sense that they're falling in love. Not to mention, the relationship is amazingly clichéd. When Stan finds out Zoe is pregnant, he's furious, because rom-coms always need people to get angry about a lie they've been told (never mind that Stan has only seen Zoe twice). Mere scenes later, the two have gotten back together and they're suddenly a committed couple? Where's the dating and the falling in love? Where's any evidence of this relationship progressing in a logical manner? Usually it takes an entire film for the leads to commit to a relationship, yet this point is reached in about 45 minutes because the filmmakers were visibly keen to get to the pregnancy shenanigans (Zoe becomes too fat for her clothes, lol). It's like a movie and its sequel were joined together, and both movies suck. No matter how many times director Alan Poul tries lighting the fire, nothing ignites.
