Woodstock: An intimate look at the Woodstock Music & Art Festival held in Bethel, NY in 1969, from preparation through cleanup, with historic access to insiders, blistering concert footage, and portraits of the concertgoers; negative and positive aspects are shown, from drug use by performers to naked fans sliding in the mud, from the collapse of the fences by the unexpected hordes to the surreal arrival of National Guard helicopters with food and medical assistance for the impromptu city of 500,000.

Yeah they tried to do another woodstock ,but the music,man.....Rap and Hip Hop doesnt belong at a concert like woodstock....what were they thinking....Woodstock is just for Rock and Roll and great music ....you can go anywhere and listen to Rap and Hip Hop...Im sure they have their own concerts....Anyway it just wouldnt work nowdays because Rock and Roll has turned into something different, not quite sure what you would call it today.....Dont get me wrong the music is all good ...its just Woodstock is something special and should never be messed with ,..it was one of the greatest times of the 20th century, even though there were alot of social unrest, ....the Woodstock era basically opened the way for change and protesting the system and it was just a part of history that will never be forgotten....Please people Im not knocking anybody's music, just saying....that they should never try to mess with making another one because it wouldnt be the same or have the same meaning.....

I think a lot of the people that attended had no idea of the huge impact this was going to have not only in their live, but in history. Great documentary, I wish I could have been a part of this movement. :)

This was a once in a lifetime event that will most likely never happen again. Great artists, great music and a great view of how we were going to change the world through music, peace and love. Awesome film.

"By the time we got to Woodstock we were half a million strong" The definitive concert of the hippie generation. Despite bad weather, food shortage and overcrowding, half a million young people spent a weekend together in harmony without cops, without hassle. Great footage of both the crowds and the musicians. 4/5

I think if I took the Yellow acid, and somebody announced, "don't take the yellow acid," I'd run all the way home. 4 - 5
