I loved this film! I actually went backwards and watched The Golden Age first. I loved that one so much I had to watch this one. Both movies are great 9/10. Cate Blancett did amazing:)

This film certainly lives up to the expectation of great direction,superb acting by numerous stars,costume/set designs and sticking pretty close to historical facts.After watching this,one should do a search on the Internet to learn more about some of the real characters to find out exactly what roles they played because it adds so much more to understanding what we have seen in the film.This is one case where we are given the icing and basic structure of the cake. It is so easy to just fill in some extra details to make this remarkable time period come to life.Almost as good as having a time machine for those willing to just invest a little effort.

I really liked this movie. I usually don't like things like this but this was great! The acting and plot were very good. I found it very entertaining too. This is definetly worth seeing.

I love everything Tudor and I think the Elizabethan era was the best time of all. Great acting of all. Fabulous costumes. 9/10

I think this is one of my favorite film done by Cate Blanchett, she did a spectacular job in her role as Queen. This is a marvel as far as Q. Elisabeth movies go, a master piece of historical accuracy portrayed in such detail. Incredible worth more then a one time watch 10/10 Cate is the best :)

Good film. The acting was great, and the story was nice as well! This is one of the best historical films I've ever seen, usually I don't like that sort of thing, but this was good! 4/5.

absolutely brilliant acting, great and accurate storyline without being too bogged down in details. One of my favorite movies of all time! 10/10. queen Elizabeth was certainly a woman to be reckoned with!

If you like historical movies, this is a must see. Great actors, story, etc... And after you watched this movie, try find the sequel "Elizabeth - The Golden age". 4,5/5.

holy jesus on a tricycle with training wheels... just had to assess this movie for a history class and a word of caution, if you are looking for something with historical value run away. the movie as an artistic film is awesome but historically this is so poorly put together i feel saddened by it. So i will give two grades for this movie As an artistic film it gets 8/10 sometimes the actors are a bit stiff in their acting. As for a historical film it gets 2/10, so so so so many things wrong.
