malcolm mcdowell is such a great actor and his character is brutal in this film. Extremely twisted but brilliant.

Citizen X is a more accessible telling of the Chikatilo (Rostov Ripper) story. This film was more of a walk inside Chikatilo's head and not a good job of it It is useful to see how the officials of the time were unwilling to spend too much time searching for the Rostov Ripper and Steven Rea was just the actor to portray his restrained frustration in Citizen X.

This made me cringe. But it was a true story, although, even fictional stories if you think about it, are true somewhere at some point. Anyway, fine acting, and very disturbing and horrific. It's unfortunate that there are sick people that do this things now, and will always be.

Well this was another disturbing movie about child predators, didnt show him actually eating people, thank god!! The acting of the guy was really good, made you think that their are " whack Jobs ' out their, that haven't been caught, well didnt need to buffer,pic/sound was good, just disturbing,so if ya like twisted movies, than you came to the right page,,,,If I ever see someone doing that to a child,I bet he wont pee standing up ever again...so on a scale of 1-10,,,for the acting, and not the plot, I give this a 7 1/2

Cikatilo (chillingly portrayed by Malcolm McDowell, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE), known as "the monster of Rostov" for killing and eating over 50 women and children in 1980s Communist Russia. Marton Csokas costars as the police detective assigned to track down the deranged killer, while David Lynch's regular composer, Angelo Badalamenti, provides an appropriately eerie film score." by Rotten Tomatoes
