Pretty good shark movie...not too predictable like most of them. it keeps you interested until the very end. I think I first seen this when it came on tv on like TNT or something.

it's a shame that this movie is best shark movie together with JAWS and it's made in '99 ... JAWS even earlier !!!we need some sharks now ... it's 2011 and if someone like cameron makes this kind of movie it would be sick !

This is one the best shark films I've seen!! Good acting from the cast and I think the deaths are original. I love the Sam Jackson scene, it's one of my favorite scenes in a movie, it surprised me the first time I saw it! Good film 8/10

This movie is a guilty pleasure. Ok so the acting is not oscar worthy...who cares? The sharks are awesome! The action sequences are great too. L.L. Cool J is great in it and he's funny too. Worth the watch. I've seen it a bunch of times and enjoy it every time.

Excellent movie!! One of the best since "Jaws." Can watch this over and over. Love the ending. Very action packed, since I have a horror of sharks this one makes my hair stand on end.

i have to say the chef made this movie funny in so many ways.

Thomas Jane needs more work, in fact he needs his own action movie franchise! This is a great movie, it has two complete bad-ass' Thomas Jane and Samuel L. Jackson. Plus it has considerably amazing computer generated images since it was made in 1999:) 6.8/10 Also Renny Harlin the director seems to have disappeared as of recent years which is a shame:/ Also have you noticed Michael Raraport starred in a lot of movies during the 1990's but you never hear of him today:L This movie has a good score which certainly sets the tense tone. This is the second best shark movie behind Jaws and I think Jaws 2 would be my third pick. Did anyone else think Stellan Skarsgard looked really young in this and I didn't like his character I thought he was kinda douchey.:L

I've got a guilty pleasure, I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Mother of God is it campy. Don't get me started on how biologically/anatomically incorrect Mako sharks are depicted in this film. What I really like is how un-formulaic it is for a horror/thriller film. The people you might expect to survive die, and ones you might expect to die end up surviving. And the WAY in which people die in this film, well, it's just great. The special effects really aren't that bad, i can rattle off a bunch of newer movies with newer CGI that have much worse SFX. In my opinion, THIS IS A MUST SEE for sci-fi/horror/thriller fans. Give it a watch people. 8/10

This actually was a pretty good movie. I thought LL did great. Pretty damn scary being around big ass sharks..I give it 4/5 but, I can't help but, think this: "A shark ate me, a fukn shark ate me!"-chappelle show.

I enjoyed this movie not to much into these types of movie and i loved it,, 5/5...
