If you are looking for movie that has a wonderful action packed,fast moving,hard hitting, awesome plot with marvelous script and incredible cast you cannot do any better then this movie!It keeps you on the edge of your seat with lots of cunning twists,funny one liners,and surprises right up to the end.With everything you could ask for. It will be a show you can watch over repeatedly and not get tired of.One of my favorites.5.5

Mel gibson potrays the hard boiled porter in payback. a fast and frequesntly funny and estatically twisted blend of action and noir atmosphere. porter makes his living outside the law. so when his partners in a heist rip off 70,000 of his share and leave him for dead, theres only one way for porter to settle things his way. which sends him on a vendetta that will have alot of lowlifes gaping at the end of porters revolver.street gangs crooked cops crime bosses. anyone and everyone standing between him and his money are really going to know what payback is.

Easily one of Gibson's best, and one of the best of it's kind you will ever see. Homage to film noir, combined with usual Gibson tongue-in-cheekness, and some fabulous supporting roles from the likes of Coburn, Kristofferson, Liu, and Devane. Henry does a stirling job here opposite Gibson. Liu is simply wonderful in a role that - worryingly perhaps - looks like it was made for her!

Porter's single-minded, no-nonsense determination to get what he sees as justice for himself strikes a chord, and has you rooting for him right to the end. This film rarely lets up on the intensity, and gets better as it goes along. It will make you laugh and cringe at the same time, but you won't want to take your eyes off the screen for a second. It looks good, feels good, and oozes class. Definitely a must-see.
