Movie review for: Deam House

This is a thriller / supernatural movie in which a family move into a house that previously housed a killer who killed his family, similar to Shutter Island the main character discovers it is him self that is supposedly killed his family as shown in the trailer.

Through-out the movie the main character seems to have re-invented him self to cope with the loss of his family and is still living visions / imagining being still with his deceased family.

However the twist towards the ending identifies it is not the father who commited the massacre but the neighbours ex-partner / husband who hires a look alike to commit the murder of his own family, except the killer went to the wrong house killing the wrong family.

Is this a supernatural movie.
Not sure if there was a supernatural element to it as at the end of the movie the neighbours partner looked back when the father was unconcious directly at were his wife was, so I did wonder if the house was possed by his family but only he could see them or if it was just the main characters imagination.

The trailer however gives a lot more away than trailers usually do, some what spoiling 80% of the movie were the only real surprise the movie is the ending.

Acting is pretty good through out the movie, doesnt come across cheesy or cheap

Suspense:
Not much suspense, I feel this would be a far better movie if I had not watched the trailer before hand to ge a small feel for what the movie is about, because in this case it revealed 80% of the storyline and made the movie totally predictable right the way until the last 20 minutes of the movie where there was a twist to how it ends.

Idea of the storyline:
Not a bad movie other than that, definatly not a Room 1408 and dont think it was intended to be seing that way, if it was a supernatural movie it was a light one at that, and if it was supposed to be a similar Shutter Island then it was good but not quite as good.

Rating 2/5 (Watchable) and that rating goes from (1 which is crap) simply because of the twisted ending and 80% being given away in the Trailer

not a bad movie. not a bad movie at all. not the best in the world, but certainly not the worse. the acting was real good, and those little girls were absolutely adorable. how ever i would have liked a little more information about the characters and how everything came to be. but all in all it actually was a a good movie. 8.5/10

I wanted to watch this movie because I thought it was a horor film you know the typical family movies into a house and finds out it is haunted and trie to discover the reason it was haunted. Well I was half right and the movie wasn't what I anticipated but all in all it was better.

It is a really great movie. It's a must see that will grabs your intrest right from the start. I thought that is was one of those movies that has the dramatic music when someone pops out, but not at all. It has it's twists and turn but the concept and the story-line in general.
