Never heard of the book(s) but this movie was pretty good. Aussie Red Dawn but with its own feel and twists. 4/5

Don't worry Australia, Canada is sending some help to back you up. We'll be there soon! LoL :-) This is a really good show so far. The characters are likable, the story line is good, the acting is above average, everything is well done. There are a few unrealistic parts but thats to be expected in a movie. Cant have the main characters all dying off. I give it a 9/10 looking forward to seeing part 2. Anyone know when it's coming out?

Never even heard of it and was surprised after watching. Not the best thing ive ever seen (some cheesy dialogue/acting... also did little to explain why this outcome came to fruition) Reminded me of "Red Dawn" but in Australia. Overall happy to have watched it... And a Giant thumbs upto the Australian film industry they have been turning out some great underrated movies lately.. hollywood needs to pay attention.

Great Film. Not as much action as the book though. and a shame they only plan to make the first 3 books into films and then do a TV series for the remaining four books. I can't wait to see the rest though.

It was okay, I liked the storyline with the characters. At first, I didn't want to watch this because the poster makes it look like a crappy low budget Syfy movie. My friend told me to watch and after I saw the comments, I thought I'd give it a go. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Has some great action, good drama and some comedy to get you through. I enjoyed it overall and can't wait to see what happens in the sequels.

Loved it!! With the all-australian cast and catchy Aussie soundtrack I was in heaven, (or maybe it was just because of Lincoln Lewis!!!) I just find it so funny watching Phoebe Tonkin (aka Fiona) be so dumb, when in 'The Secret Circle' she is playing the mean chick. And for all you non-Aussies watching this movie, yes we do actually live off Maggi 2 minute noodles and vegimite. Along with TimTams.

OK it's fiction. But could anyone actually defeat Australia with America watching over like the big protecting eagle it is.... NO. but good douche movie. Well done guys and girls...........

The cast are a very engaging brat-pack; there are some medium-OK action scenes; and it really is a well-budgeted, slick-looking production. It's genuinely good to see this much money splashed out on an Aussie movie.
