Excellant great story great acting

A totally "Awesome" film as my Grand Son would say! Based on a true story. Sub plots of Father - Son resolution. Man and Woman resolution. Truth above politics; Right and faith above racism and power. Final justice for the death of an innocent victim, a 20 year old cover-up, and the awakening of humanity in America to see our youth unencumbered by White Supremacist bigotry. If the story has been done "Countless times"; it obviously still needs to be done countless more, until even the most ignorant brain washed moron, can't see any film with all these qualities as anything but left wing racist propaganda. These aren't the best of times, but I thank God that I was raised with open minded parents, and lived to see the changes that have taken place in America since the 1950's when I grew up. It saddens me that many friends my age have never changed, but with the death of one generation, lies the rebirth of a better one. GOD BLESS AMERICA! I rate this a 10/10...

Hi ontoughcrowd, I had to go back through my history to find when I watched this film and to find your comments. It is odd that we cannot find the film from just searching. Perhaps there is a problem in the database and should be reported. BTW It seems every time I clicked on your name I was taken to a red warning screen for the site of your photograph - strange! anyway I am replying to your comment. Thank you for helping gain some points back for the people who commented. I usually do that also by clicking on the useful hand if I think that the negative points are unfair. There are some nasty people who just enjoy spoiling things for people. I realise that to disagree with a comment is ok. But if for example it is just rude and adds nothing to the real assessment of the film then it is nasty.

An excellent film and the triumph of truth. There is a deep scar on the american nation that they are always trying to atone for. worth a watch.

When these types of movies are based on true events they haven't made enough of them.This was subdued in deliverance but power punching .The story and events were appalling it's and excellent watch .

Good and interesting twist

superior story, superior film, superior ending. superior acting. This film has everything a film should have. It is not full of action and spec effects, it is just a film about justice, believing in one's self, values, and unconditional love. 10/10

This movie is phenomenal, it was just so real and honest. I can't lie i got a lil misty eye on a few scenes. All the actors and actresses did a good job of showing the true heart of their characters. It is sad to see the length that people hatred can go. 10/10.

Wow.. I can only imagine the types of people who just now actually caused the wonderful comments of those who watched this movie to click on "useless" to bring their comments to 50%. How utterly disgusting and chilling knowing the type of people who did that.

I will only add in addition, that even though the topic was a heavy one, and towards the end just when you thought it was over it only lead to other shocking allegations, that it also had many very likable characters who touched your heart, made you smile and even laugh! On that note a huge thanks to Eric Roberts! Ya gotta love em. Highly recommend this movie to everyone!
