Plain brilliant! A must see for anime and dystopian movie fans. The brilliance lays in the details. Extremely good animation and voice acting and a breathtaking storyline. 5/5

An excellent rendition of Fritz Langs version of 1921. This film held all aspects of wonder and beauty which can hold the audience. A film of a city run by robots, humans hating them, a revolution breaking out. And in the middle is a boy who finds the ultimate creation from a mad Scientist only to be chased by a psychotic lad named rock. The music was top notch, the scenery breath taking, and last but not least, the great music from Ray Charles singing "I can't stop loving you" in the midst of the final destruction of the ziggarat. I recommend this to anyone who watches anime.

This is a real good movie. The voice acting is good too.

Awesome movie, one of the best animation i've evers seen.

i was dying to see this movie for the longest time. maybe that's why i was disappointed in it. don't get me wrong it's extremely well done and i can easily see why so many people love this movie but for some reason it just didn't grab me. maybe the storyline was too predictable for me, or the music ruined it (i hate 1950's style music which is what they use), or the fact that every time they referred to Rock all i could think was he looks like megaman without armor and may very well be the same person before dr light got his hands on him. whatever it was it didn't sit right with me. i won't give a rating because i think my judgement may have been altered by my own expectations of what this was supposed to deliver.
