Watch A Hazard of Hearts: When compulsive gambler Sir Giles Staverley has lost his estate and all his money playing dice, he realises that he only has one thing left of value: his daughter Serena. In a final game, he stakes his daughter's hand in marriage, convinced that this time he will not lose. Unfortunately, however, he does lose; to the evil Lord Wrotham. Unable to return home and tell his daughter that he has lost her in a game of dice, Sir Giles kills himself there and then. I love this and other movie with male hero,..but I totally understand it is NOT for everyone...only if u r a true romantic and love the idea of a knight in amour coming to rescue a Lady in peril.....I love a happy end! I've watched this at least 25 x over and still love the hero! It's not cheesy but it is romance of theatre or Opera quality 5 star for old story

OMG! This thing is SO cheesy! A wonder the actors were able to keep a straight face long enough to finish filming!
