Very good movie. Dickens tell a great story of tragedy and triumph.

Those who have read the book will be disappointed that so much of the narrative has been clipped, particularly the threads involving the Cheeryble brothers. But you can't fit everything in with only 2.5hrs that's for sure. All in all it's a nice summery of the book, although somewhat changed and rushed. ***

Dickens does not dissapoint...Mr. Hunnam shows his acting chops here. 10/10

I can honestly say that "Nicholas Nickleby" is my favorite of Dickens' works. His sinister villain, his earnest, upright, innocent hero, and the beautiful Kate and their plight for financial independence from their evil uncle Ralph have the foundation of a classic. 5/5

This story of Nicholas Nickleby was better than the older one I'd watched. Nicholas, has the cares of his sister, mother and self thrown on him at 18 or so. Days of hard employ and he is thrown down a terrible cruel road, that in the end although costs his cold hearted grasping uncle a great pain.,..the injustice He commits are beyond Evil.

Although not as true to the book as another very dark version of NICHOLAS N. I enjoyed this one tremendously ! My sruggles have been even greater than this story, living in these times with out food or work/becoming a cripple and a husband who became deaf at our young ages with children to support and horrible relatives causing terrible lies to hurt us..even through our churches,...but we too have made it thus far and hope for a beautiful ending such as Nicholas has now! 5/5stars

A young compassionate man struggles to save his family and friends from the abusive exploitation of his cold heartedly grasping uncle.

Brilliant movie. The acting was amazing. It was very dark, kind of reminded me of Jane Eyre. This Nicholas Nickleby was a lot better than the older one I watched. Really touching and sad at some parts, but also some funny parts. MUST SEE!!

He is so sexyyy!
