Enjoyed this film. Made me think. His arguments sounded plausible, but I'm no scholar.

If you watched this documentary, you will definitely want to read this: The Real Truth About Jesus http://www.skiens.com/truth/truth.htm

Great information. Good documentary. I could care less what you believe, you should care less what I believe. All roads lead us to our own source of happiness. 4/5

Though a firm christian i can enjoy others view points however all i want is for people to realize that even with our different beliefs no one faith or lack there of can or ever will be proven by man.

An ongoing battle between logic and faith, We will never understand why christians believe what they do so strongly and they will continue to look down on those who dont share their views. You can either be constantly annoyed by the preachings of religious people or content with the idea you'll be in paradise after your demise. Either way no amount of fighting will change either party's minds. Be happy with what you think you know and get on with your existence.

Great Documentary. Caution: you must have an open mind in order to thoroughly enjoy and understand it. If you are watching this to possibly learn a thing or two about how the Christian faith and the Bible came to be, that's wonderful. However, if you go in with a closed mind because for some inexplicable reason you believe that your faith is the only true faith and that no other explanations or theories are acceptable, you're missing the point. As Gunny1952 stated earlier, "facts" that we learned as truth growing up are subject to change. It all depends on whether or not you're willing to go with the flow. 4/5 Edit: Despite the fact that my comment actually pertains to this documentary, it's been voted 50% useful. Hmmmm, I smell trolls. Feel free to p.m. me if you've had a hard time understanding the context of my comment. I can tell you however, that I went to Catholic school for 10 years, and worked 5 summers as a camp counselor at a Christian camp.

Well jackass scientists have now created life from nothing. Also known as Synthetic Cells. Looks like darwin was right. And Yes a man named Jesus exhisted but he did no miracles. Sorry to tell you but its true. Strength comes from within, not from a bullshit fairytale written by man.

religion...in a way keeps a balance of order and destruction...but if we did away with it we would be a far more advanced and educated human race.

Great Work Brian. It's time to wake up and smell the lies of Christianity. There's nothing more satanic than Christianity itself. 1000 years of obscurantism, bloody crusades, the inquisition, colonizers killing indians in North america, conquerors killing indians in central and south america, holy wars, The Bushes, etc, the list goes on and on. The story of jesus is just a copy-paste of the stories of Osiris, Mithra, Dionisious and many others.

I promised myself I would never again type these words on a message board; EVOLUTION IS A SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN FACT. Darwin's 'theory'(any of you that take the word theory out of context should throw yourselves off a tall building, because, after all, gravity is also only a 'theory') after over 150 years is constantly and consistently proven right by modern scientific method, the mapping of the genome and our understanding of DNA, to name just 2. You can believe in whatever hocus pocus you so desire, but it will never alter the facts. Now you should all go away and think about what you forced me to do. By the way, the guy who said, if you don't believe in Jesus you can't believe in Hitler, really made my day. Great work Sir.

without the words faith and miracle believers in the bible are fucked in there explanation of the bible, and if the book can't be proven as fact then why are people ask to put your hand on it and swear on it in a court of law. read darwin's book on evolution its full of facts. and the school princable had to walk of when faith couldn't beet the facts, good film 3/5.

I tho this comments place was to comment about the documentary not to preach hate or faith in any religion. I think mods should clear some comments cause they are just a waist of space in this section including mine and if you wanna fight over religion just make a topic on the foruns page but the most sensible thing to do is STOP TROLLING ABOUT RELIGION YOU WILL GET NOWHERE.

That was entertaining, not for informational purposes but for comedic relief. I still fail to understand the simplistic perspective of an all knowing god, and how this religious noose has managed to wrap itself around billions of gullible necks and continues to take billions of out gullible pockets? Maybe once life is found beyond earth,(which will happen it's only a matter of time) be it an amoeba, little green space man, or even another planet not unlike our own, people will finally except that life is here and now and should be wasted spending any thought on any afterlife, but only and strictly on continuous thought of greater enhancing our knowledge of the very sense and fabric of all existence of life through vigorous and calculated scientific research!

good points-vague direction . almost like a drunk cop on the road in his squad car. People this is a movie web site keep your beliefs and arguments at bay and just comment on quality and presentation . if i wanted to see discussions on right and wrong i would talk to my evangelical mother!

I am a follower of Christ and would like to say I watched with an open mind for 30min so far and have heard a couple of inaccurate comments from the narration: 1- Paul refers to Christ life in all of his epistles so for him to say Paul worshiped a deity on the scale of other religions is false. Paul also refers to the old testament scriptures a lot if you look in the bible most of these scriptures will start with "it is written." 2- Its hard to say have an open mind about a documentary when it is set out to prove one side of a story and disprove another. The one guy with the beard talks clearly from opinion when he talks about the early Christians being confronted about the pagan god being on the same level of Jesus. 3-I believe the gore in "the passion of the Christ" to be on par with the bible, but of course not totally accurate since I was not there. 4- People who are Christians and would like to kill gay people are ignorant, Jesus came to give Gods love to all and he dinned with sinners. I have good friends who are gay and i care for them with all my heart, not condoning what they do but understanding their need for deliverance is different than my own. With all religions you will get extremist, not all muslims hijack airplanes and blow up buildings. Bottom line is more people like the broad road because there are few restrictions, But Jesus is the narrow road and few will walk that road.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. The filmmaker may be biased, but he was completely truthful. I've done vast intense research on the same subjects and even been excommunicated from, and get this, the Southern Baptist Convention, lol. Don't get me wrong. I believe in spiritual things. I've experienced some whacked-out stuff. But I know BS when I hear it. Look, if a religion/faith of some type does something for you, then fine follow it, but be wise and be considerate of others and their beliefs. Its really that simple.
