Very good movie, I really liked the whole concept.

simply outstanding performances.. great choice in cast and of course all modern, I don't remember much the original but I plan on watching soon enough, but this was marvelous and to actually imagine that this could happen to us if technology keeps advancing and falling into the wrong uses and hands.. 10/10

Decent action film with great special effects. I was saddened that the film makers felt the need to include a three tittied woman again though, it's cheap laughter material like this that usually deters me from watching re-makes and sequels these days. And to whoever has marked almost every single comment for this movie as useless, Well Done, you are a retard. 7/10

Verry good special effects wow. The orignal with Arnld is one of my fav s I was dreaming up a total Recall sequal that would continue on from when the atomophere was created on mars and how the people on mars will rebuild and what they would descover on mars also explaind who the aleins were and how and when they built the macheine that melted mars ice caps

awesome flick. only regret is waiting this long to watch it. great action. much better than the original. doesn't hurt that it has Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale in it. yummeh. 9/10

Those asking why would they remake this, simply put, the original was made in the eighties (and released in 1990) so the effects etc were low tech but still good for the time but they could be so much better now.

I ended up not really watching but waiting to see how they did certain parts...the copy is poor, this version didnt bring anything new and really sold the original out, which is still a better film imo..effects don't make films, (which from this version you couldn't appreciate) stories do !

Just action for action's sake with a terrible plot somewhere in the middle. Big fan of Farrel and the original, but this is just lacking in intelligence and overflowing in pointless action scenes.

Great Action! Great Directing! Great Acting! They completely reworked the script with the same names but totally different story line! Wish they would have kept the mars theme or changed their names, other than that awesome movie! 10/10 if you haven't seen the original with the Governator!!!!!!!

I was enjoying it so little I could not finish watching, not my kind of movie.

The uniqueness of the 1990 version compared to the 2012 is that there's a lot more caricature and dark humor regarding the future of American culture and consumerism. It's also a lot bloodier. The three-breasted woman has a much larger part. :-) To be candid, a lot of characters were excluded from it's original and not once throughout this remake, the phrase "Total Recall" was mention. The 1990 version was about air and this one about living space so an appropriate title should have been "Total Recall: Living Space". Overrall, this version was cool to watch.

dont care about the original. i liked it! it was a good watch 3* it was also interesting to witness kate beckinsale portray a villian for a change.

This was horrible! I love the original and hate that Hollywood keeps trying to remake movies that don't need remakes / reboots whatever you want to call it. Leave movies alone!!
