i really enjoyed this :) this is a good heart throbbing movie

i fell in love with this movie <3 10/10

I have to say this is one extremely well done black comedy. Christina Ricci is a great actress and surprised me turning blonde for this role. To be in a story about falling in love with a physically handicapped person was sweet and weird at the same time. The movie makes the relationship seem surreal and plays it off in a funny way. You just have to like black comedies and be able to see the humor in very awkward situations people put themselves in, even if it maybe a bit weird or disturbing. This definetly caught my attention and I couldn't stop watching after bumping into it on tv.

This movie is able to both convey a serious message and be completely sarcastic about that message all at the same time. It's a movie with a fantastic soundtrack (Belle and Sebastian, Emiliana Torrini) that compliments the weird surreal look of the film. The settings and clothing are mainly bright and colorful, but the atmosphere and the characters are all unhappy liars. Yet, this movie is hilarious. I cried, laughed and actually thought about a lot of serious things while watching this movie. The chemistry between all the actors is pretty good, and it's hard not to have a crush on Hank Harris as Pumpkin. I have to say that the ending reminded me a lot of The Graduate. When you watch it, you'll see what I mean.

A good movie, thought it was gonna be a chick flick type movie but whatever it is I liked it. 8/10.

A moving film about overcoming ignorance and prejudices; the 'perfect' girl's 'perfect' world being shaken for the first time; and the story of how a physically disabled male finds that he can do so much more than anyone before then has encouraged him to, whilst facing strong discouragement from others. May make you teary. I agree that the acting's a little shaky in parts (a couple of the scenes and actors are a little over-dramatic, especially in regards to background music), but generally good performances are given. There's no way that 'Kent' could have survived, though, haha. 3.5/5

I love this movie! The storyline and plot are amazing. Ricci is a brilliant actress and I loved the depth of this film. Where the others lack in talent the story makes up for! A must watch show.

i love this movie, the acting is a bit shaky in a few scenes, but the plot is phenomenal and the overall message is a sweet one.

the storyline and concept of this movie was great, just poorly executed. they turned it into a black comedy type movie when infact i woulda have liked it more drama like. it almost poked fun at the disabled characters rather then evoke any kind of real attachment or sympathy for them. damn the director, what a waste...
