i love this film. saw it in the theater originally. if you liked this check out "at close range" with sean penn, chris penn, christopher walken, crispin glover, etc but this film is awesome and truly well done. a fave growing up near dark is another good one

Interesting movie, must say.

This is a really good 80's flick. Powerful and moving .. yes, no remorse. The actors were very young and unpolished .. but it's a good watch. 4/5

Very well made true story about a bunch of teens getting mixed up in a murder. Great seeing Keanu Reeves and Crispin Glover young, they really did a good job with the characters. Keanu's acting was more believable back then and now he's become more robotic. Crispin was funny and he's usually more creepy in his movies. Overall, it makes you think at how crazy some people's mindset is mixed with the angst of being a teenager. Worth a watch.

Factoid: This was Keenu's Feature film Debut, then i beleive his next movie was Bill & Ted Execelent Adventure.

What a blast from the past. I vividly recall seeing this for the first time over 20 years ago and found it riveting and disturbing. One of those films that made me want to go home, take a shower, and then reconnect with "normal" humanity. This is a bleak film that, at the time, opened a lot of eyes to the disconnect and cold, hard-edged plight and outlook of modern youth in America. Reeves is quite good in this, even though I am not a big fan of his work; most of the other actors are competent and believable as well. Highly recommended.

Wow I just realized this movie is based on true story. The girl's name is Marisa Conrad & she was raped/murdered by her so called boyfriend. U can Google her story.
