I was waiting for something more entertaining... Not really my cup of tea, but it was not bad.

This is a wonderful example of taking an incredible script,some great actors,seasoned director, and mixing them all together to come up with a well woven movie which just plain rocks! You are swept up into the drama from the beginning and the tension just keeps building one moment onto another.It is a great example of how with just one small home audiences can be entertained by using it to its maximum effect to keep things moving along nicely.The solutions which Jody Foster's character finds is really awesome to see as she faces one challenge after another. So is the interesting consciousness of another. The surprising twist at the end hits you right out of the blue and makes for a satisfying if somewhat bittersweet ending. This is one movie that can be watched over again without getting worn out.5/5

HOLY Sugar honey ice tea! great movie, everyone just a fantastic job, had me from the beginning till the end. Note to self: get a panic room when i have a house. Foster never disappoints, that's why i like her, a must watch. adding this to my fav list. 10/10

I liked this IMDB viewer comment so much I figure it should be posted here. It says what I wanna say prob even a bit better: (Way ahead of it's time. If you can come up with a story based in a single room and make it as engaging and exciting as this one... you deserve to be frozen and preserved for future teaching of inspiring film makers. This is a fantastic film and I'm glad Jodie Foster was available for the lead when Nicole Kidman got knocked up and bailed. I loved the off-character casting of Jared Leto and the unbelievable casting of Dwight Yoakam... DWIGHT YOAKAM. Everything worked. Another great, and yet again... underrated film by David Fincher. How long is it going to take for an established director like Fincher to take a chance and roll the dice on trying to make a script like this work again? ...No one has the guts.

Great movie. Young Kristen Stewart, cute! :) I think she was almost better than in Twiight in this movie. She definitely was less awkward. The movie somehow reminded me of Home Alone, hehe. This is like the adult version of that movie. Jared Leto is a great actor/singer. Always love him. That black guy was nice, I kinda felt sorry for him. Giving the movie a 4/5.
