What a classic! I loved it! Incredibly entertaining, and fun, and also rather frightening. This is definitely not to be missed!

Great scrip and actors. The fire scene was frightening specially when a guys throws gasoline and lands on the mattress the girl was using as a shield. That was a very risk scene back them. These actors were a 100 times more believable than the ones on 2011. Still my favorite is the 1982.

John Carpenter's vision of this story is much more closely related to the book and story it's based on, unlike this earlier version, due to technological limitations of the time. I enjoy both. And the newest 2011 'the Thing' *preguel* takes place before the events of john carpenter's film. Just saying. :) This one is a classicccccccc

I like older movies but some of them can be way too slow. This is not one of those in fact its very fast paced and keeps you wanting more. 10/10

Actually, they said the '82 remake was already perfect. So instead they're going to make a prequel, leading strait up to the '82 remakes story.

One of my all time favorites. Can't go wrong with this movie, and its one that you can watch and re-watch. 5/5 stars :D

A classic bit of 50's sci/fi this movie went on to be remade as The Thing by John Carpenter,it's good to know that good sci/fi never dies,it just gets remade,8/10.

Like someone mentioned above perfect on a dark rainy night, this is real classic stuff. Saw this at the drive in (giving away my age)when I was about 8 yrs old, nothing like eating buttery pop corn while you are scared half to death! Ohhh what good times.

I still think this version is the best. Howard Hawks is extremely versatile.

Classic horror movie! It was pretty awsome. Definetly worth seeing if you are a fan of horror movies!
