This movie hit the heart for me. If you can take the slow suspense/thriller, it will be worth it in the end.

I read the book years ago, and love it. sarah is great for this part. very interesting.

This is a excellent movie,don't be put off by the subject material or title,it is well scripted and the acting is also excellent.

I guess I just don't like Paulo Coelho much (bogus, cereal box wisdom), so maybe I just shouldn't have watched. I didn't BELIEVE in the hospital, the inmates, and ESP. in the psychiatrist's strategem. But I'm intrigued to see how SMG develops as an actress as she's outgrown the teen and ultralight 20smthing romcom roles. I'd heard this was her breakthrough as a 'serious' actress. Can't agree, but will keep watching.

A fantastic movie and glad i watched it. 5* for me because i always favor a good and well told story over anything. Worth a watch for sure :)

watched it because I like Coehlo's, good watch. I wouldn't say it's great, but this movie will make you feel good, realizing that you're one of the many that is not lost...

pretty movie, like the book a lot more, Coelho is one of those amazing writers that gets 2 the bottom of ur heart!

I really enjoyed this movie... much of the time this type of subject matter can be generally depressing and a letdown, but I must say with this one it wasnt at all. Now, since I know of it, I must read the book everyone is speaking of here. Thanks for this heart-warming movie. It covers an area I personally understand, I liked the idea of the docs alternative methods for mental health as well.

Interesting movie about a failed suicide survivor and her resultant awakening, based on Paulo Coelho's novel. Not Oscar material, but a pleasant watch nevertheless. 3/5
