Of course it could've been better. Perhaps every movie, everything could be. But that doesn't change a thing. I love this movie, it's a wonderful epic fantasy story. Not the best special effects that were out back in those days? Maybe not, but still they're good. In my opinion, it would've been a way better film if they hadn't spent that much money on casting Jeremy Irons. I thought he was very misfit for the role and I know there's a lot of way better actors to play a high mage. Nevertheless, great movie and totally recommended if you look for some nice adventure that at least reminds of D&D.

I remember playing this game as a kid. I remember being all excited about the movie. I remember walking out of the theater really disappointed. This is nothing more then a Xena episode without the hot chicks. Terrible movie.

i just got one question; who the hell was the dm for this game? this is no where near what playing d&d is like, but then again, they wouldn't be allowed to put some of it in or even make a coherent story line from an actual game. so it's ok, just wish they had been given better funding.
