Kontroll: Ghost trains and ghostly characters, figuratively speaking of course, are what run through the perpetual night of this fictitious underground (metro) system. Bulcsú's (Sándor Csányi) life that once was, on the surface, where the real people go home after work, who go to the movies or a fine restaurant is now replaced by the dark, cold and solitude arena of his new dwellings. Him, and his motley crew of ragtag metro ticket Kontrollers must patrol the trains that run these City dwellers back and forth and with daily ritual, check that no one dare come down into their world for a free ride. With indifferent passengers, a possible love interest, a regime set on competition and to top it all a mysterious serial killer at large, Kontroll is a dark and bleak comedy of the world of the ticket inspector, who, in the end must keep this Metro system running. If not, what would be the worst that could happen, if they ever lost control? Dare you ride here for free, too? |

Let your brain take a ride and watch this very different film. Slightly bizaro but entertaining. Don't try to figure it out or if there is some deep meaning, there isn't it just is.

Love this movie., it was more of a comedy in my opinion. Made me laugh big time., on the other hand the story line in general is very original. Worth watching it!!

Bulscu, a man who has taken a step back from the rat-race finds he is racing all the same. Against a backdrop of almost Marx Brothers Anarchy, casual murder and vice, questions are asked such as - why is there an owl on the platform, who is the mysterious bear with a flare and why doesn't anybody leave?

i have been searching for a film like this for awhile now...i dont know where this came from but im glad i found it. from beginning to end i loved it...recommend this to everybody.

most creative and imaginetive movie i seen in years. it goes with my top 100 must see movies. i loved it and i will highly recommended

What a great show...saw this a few years ago, and have recommended it to loads of people has a bit of everything mystery, suspense a touch of black comedy, as well as being original...good characters and story. Well worth a watch. Keeps the viewer interested by not quite knowing whats going to happen next...missing out if not watched because its sub-titled. Thanks for uploading!

this movie is in hungarian with english subs i doubt you'll find one that has them speaking english it was made in Hungary

For those not familiar with the Budapest metro, regardless of what this film "means", the kicker is in the public mouthing off to the "kontrol" guys...Not!! Those kontorl guys, who blend in with other passengers till they put on the red arm band, are like militia police once they are on you for something. You don't talk back to them, believe me. Ha ha ha!!!

What a great movie! I kinda want to go to hungaria soon... I loved the scenes of total anarchy with the militia ticket officers, it was tooo funny at some times and right when your laughing all of a sudden it turns into an intense thriller with deep subliminal messages about the psyche and humanity. I was incredibly impressed by the production and the directors choice to manipulate sound and flashes of grim lights and imagery to tap into many subconscious parts of your brain,and also to blend so many elements of dark thrills and comedy truly genius! 10/10 Thanks a lot to whoever uploaded this, major eye opener

poor storyline.. Could you believe me, that after watching the movie, l still did not get the main reason of the film? Nice pictures, but could have been much better with a better storyline. Who was who in this movie? What was the role of Bela#s daughter? And that bela#s daughter appwared in his dream.....crap.

I really Like the grittiness and reality of the European movies. Non of the silicon and false polish of Hollywood. Great story - of finding oneself and healing the trauma of life. Fantastic music - good direction and acting of all the actors. 10/10
