I almost thought at one point that this film was playing in slow motion. It is certainly different from your mainstream post civil war, trekking west type of film. It is interesting and somewhat unique in it's idea although I don't think it was well executed. Generally films about this era are among my favorites but this one only gets 3 stars and that is a bit of a stretch.

The cast do their best, but the movie is slow. It's more descriptive of their journey and stuff that happens to them, than the evolvement of the characters. 1/5 *
