This is a great film, maybe a bit slow at times but def worth the watch. 8/10

version 23 has subtitles, haven't watched long enough to figure out if they are any good, but at least they are there at all

wanted to watch it the first time i saw the trailer......i was not disappointed.....great watch

Finally a spy film without car chases, gun fights, and spies looking like James Bond ! I like the classy, cold and very British atmosphere this film depicts. And what a bunch of wonderful actors indeed !

this is a great spy story...the book is a bestseller, complex and it is a fantastic read....the scriptw riters manage to extract and wrote a good story...the director manage to keep the pace and the film to flow...no boring or slow moment...at every scene the puzzles were falling in place and building the story towards the end...no one could beat the late sir alec guiness as george smiley but gary oldman adds his own persona to the character of george smiley...everyone is the cast was just fantastic....this is an incredible story and actors are really inspired and could really fit in those characters were filmed...its not just for anyone...the film is not for a large audience...first people need to see that the cold war was not super spies killing, etc but it was about to get the best of your oponents and this counted on intelligence...the spies worked differently...nothing is perfect like in a james bond film...no way the americans could have a greater cast like this or make a better version than this...they simply lack that inspiration...tinker tailor soldier spy...its worth a watch anytime...great british filmaking...

It was slow paced, but worth watching.

well for a spy movie, it had a solid story line, was a bit slow but if you can handle the pace of things, the movie is interesting. i wouldnt say that it was really exciting but worth a watch if you havent got anything better. 3.5/5

Too many information in a very short time.2 hours running time of this film was not enoght for undrestanding the caracters and thier backgrand stories. that`s why i think a very good story wasted and film became all lines and dialogue which in the middle of film leave you bord .good cast but you can not see any good act as there is no time for it.could be much better

Was waiting to see this for a while. I don't think comparisons with the original BBC series are useful as it ran to 7 episodes. Creme de la creme of British (male ) acting on show here. Does Benedict Cumberbatch never sleep? Popping up all over the shop. Refreshing to see spy drama back where it should be. Roll on a second and third installment of Gary Oldman as good ol' George.
