Good movie with awesome special effects 5/5

I agree, what has happened to the educational system that nobody can even articulate a single sentence? Maybe it is time for the world to end, atleast humanity, or reboot.

Good apocalyptic film! However, scientifically speaking, if Yellowstone's supervolcano erupted, along with all the other events that occured in the movie, the stratosphere would be contaminated with ash and smoke for thousands of years due to the light material in lower gravity, most likely causing the planet to freeze. As an ancient astronaut theorist, I sincerely hope that the Mayans were establishing a return date of extraterrestrial intelligence instead of the end of the world! Movie was entertaining but broke the laws of science, for that I give it a 7/10.

Didn't really like it. But if you're into crazy special effects or whatever not you'll like this. The comedy was kinda lame for me and just the whole last 40 minutes I felt had been the worst.

loved this film its a must watch if you like end of the world films!! just wish there were more :(

The effects are cool and the acting isn't bad but the insaaane line of events and cheesy dialogue had me completely detached towards the end and eventually laughing at how unrealistic it all was. Not what I expected but so bad it was somewhat entertaining.

One of the best Roland Emmerich have taken n will take. The special effects ,actions,storyline r heart thumping n keeps us over the edge. It is not logic at alot of moments bt it is overcome by the speed of the story. Good cast 2!!! Worth watching a lot of times..

This is a good story but really cliche especially when he came out the ground without struggling, i mean thats so unrealistic and impossible. Honestly its not that good but interesting. 4/10

Absolutely amazing, on the edge of my seat through most of this. Spectacular effects, needs to be watched in the highest quality you can get. In my favourites now.

This movie was great from beginning to end. Great story and cast. Makes you wonder. I was on the edge of my seat and then crying atleast 5-6 times. I loved it. 5/5 from me.

I really enoy end of the world films like Deep Impact, e.c.t and of course 2012 was no exception, with great special effects. It takes a while to get into but once you start thinking "Well what would I be doing right now" you know your hooked. The actors were good, not brilliant but I enjoyed it for what it was worth. 9/10

The world probably will end in 2012. All of the religions and myths speak about major changes in world before the end happens. Look at the world now and see what is happening: Dictators who have held on to power for two generations have been deposed in various Arab countries. The division between Muslims, Christians and Jews are at an all time high. All of the major Western democratic nations have had protests against their own country, and have resorted to restricting freedoms in the name of National Security. Russia of all people has just announced that they will target any military radar/missiles we try to install in any of the former USSR satellite states. Which, if true, would guarantee an all out WWIII with the Russians. And that would be all nuclear, since the Soviets, er Russians know that they can't defeat us in a conventional war. This is it. If you have a God then be ready to meet him. If you don't, sorry about your luck.

Even though I hate action movies, I really enjoyed this one. Packed full of excitement, and I didn't even notice it was 2 and a half hours long. The movie was far fetched, but really entertaining to watch

It was a pretty good movie, but I thought it would have been better if they would have reeled back on the SFX. I love good special effects, but this one was overkill to point of almost being ridiculous. I'm sure it will be a better watch when a better version is available too. - 2 points for quality and overkill SFX. That said, 8/10.

Not so good,very predictable ...almost did not make it through this very long and tedious movie...my brain was bleeding 30 min into it. 1/5

This film was worth the admission to a nice digital picture theater. I agree with others that even though it was two and a half hours long, the movie has very few slow moments so its basically a thrill ride from beginning to end. I highly recommend if you are into the disaster movie genre.
