Very good watch despite it being a sad, dark, depressing, discriminating, cold, cruel, world of humans that is shown in Ireland at an early period in time. A little difficult to understand with the accent.

Very nice film, great photography, scenary, acting, wardrobe. Simply good cinema telling a story about a family in Ireland. I didn´t think it was sad at all, just a life story told in a unique way.

One of my fave movie's ever. But doesn't some close to the book. As someone else mentioned, there is a follow up book of this call "Tis" Well worth the watch if your interested in the the old days of Ireland. I take my hat off to the director and actors, and of course Frank McCourt himelf. 10/10

This was a good movie, but it didn't do justice to the book. The book was full of subtle and not-so-subtle humor in the midst of life's terrible curves thrown at us, but the movie was good and well worth a watch. Frank McCourt also had a follow-up called "'Tis" which was an excellent book as well.

Mean times & hard in this wonderful movie where it keeps the watcher interested especially if they like seeing different upbringing & treatment.Learnings from their country, religion, & etc.! Off The Rockers, Thank yous very much!

I for one loved the movie and the book. Also loved the follow up book "Tis" highly recommend both books. Will say his first was gut wrenching to the point where I had to read in increments because my heart ached so much from the palatable accounting of his life.

I loved it and found it exceptionally inspiring. With all the adversity the family faced throughout the years they faced each day with courage and perservered. 10/10

Good film. Makes a difference by telling the story as it is. Hower it is VERY annoying that these people from Megavideo are cutting you off for 54 minutes after you have watched 72 minutes.

Great movie, sadly Frank passed away recently. 8/10
