aha! classic one here...am so into Greek mythology,,has great stories which are fascinating too!!! glad to see a movie of this..awesome acting!!!! :D

version 3 is the 2010 version

i use to watch this version with my mom when i was young i cant believe that im able to see it again.i love this version although the new version is ok this one is the best in my opinion.5/5

I watch this movie from time to time because it was great and it is the kind of well shot movie with all the ingredients of a true classic that inspired the remake (which skips and jumps and doesn't flow with the precision of this version) and is still watchable even after four decades. The actors were of a high caliber and made us believe without the need for high tech special effects.

If anyone noticed, in the 2010 remake, Perseus was told to "just leave it!" when it came to the Robot Owl...LOL I got a kick out of that. Although, I still enjoyed the goofy thing in this 1981 version. Call me odd. I loved this old movie and it was worth its weight in gold in the days it came out. I will continue to watch it again. My grown kids have a copy of it in their vid library...its a true classic1

Superior version of "Clash",myth of Perseus and Andromeda;Ray Harryhausen's effects still hold up to time.Story,acting,more human and romantic,classical,than new version.Great for all ages,and elegant,yet adventurous and exciting.I recommend this original version,and it's a great family film,also.Harry Hamlin,Lawrence Olivier,Maggie Smith,Claire Trevour,Burgess Meridith make a great cast.Hollywood doesn't make em like this anymore!:)

Aye this was one of my favourite films as a kid it was superbly done for having no real effects in those days lol Cant wait for the new one ...
