Saw this the other day and it sucked. Why didn't his friend have the disc w/him during the trial? Made him go all the way home for it and then...well...I don't wanna spoil it. 5/10

Not a bad film, worth a watch. If you watch it for Amber Tamblyn as I did, watch her in "The Russell Girl". 7/10

liked the movie overall but don't like the twist at end, i don't know why directors of this kinda movies always try there best to put twists everywhere believe me sometimes it ruin the whole thing. i guess it will be a lot better if the ending is quite more decent.

OK, first of all this movie was NOT a "film noir". Anybody who knows what "film noir" is, knows it has very specific and necessary elements to be described as such. Namely, 1) a femme fatale, 2) a theme of sexual deviance, and 3) the presence of a rainy environment throughout (not just tacked on at the end) among other elements. I haven't seen the original yet, but if you want real "film noir" watch "The Big Sleep" or "The Maltese Falcon" or "Sin City" (truly modern "film noir") - just a few that come to mind. That being said, this movie was alright. I expected the twist at the end as it was a self-described "film noir" and therefore I knew to expect the twist and since there was no femme fatale, it was obvious where the twist was to take place. I give it a film grey out of a film noir.

Taking this film alone and putting aside that its a remake, it was an enjoyable watch. The twist at the end spoiled the movie for me, but then again I expected it. Parts of the movie irritated me because they weren't logical and could have been better played out. Not an intelligent movie that makes you think about it for a while after. All of that said, I still was entertained and did watch it through.

Oh Yeah ..Great remake of the original movie, lots of mystery and suspence A good exposee of the d.a. but wierd twist to the end .Overall, suspenceful 5/5

This was a really good film but the plot was very similar to an Indian movie called "Kasoor" with Lisa Ray which came in the late 90s,so the ending was no surprise,but overall a great flick.

The main character is the pool boy from desperate housewives. He's not a very good actor. The story was okay and the ending unexpected. But at least Michael Duglas was in it. He's legit. 3/5
