i thought it was boring and waited for something to happen, the title deceived me lol everyone here says it's good, i can't remember much... i'm confused lol

Worth the watch. A good thriller. 7/10

The best thing about this film is the plot, which has a number of twists and turns and some good doublecrosses. Next is dialog, although there are some awkward lines "could you produce me a cigarette", for instance, is a bit wooden. David Mamet, the writer/director, is also an accomplished playwright and gets a lot of critics' love because of that "he's an artist" they say. And perhaps in those areas that involve writing - plot and dialog - he is. But there is much more to film making and this is where Mamet gets into trouble. His shot selection is often a problem, and combined with his poor blocking and directing of actors he creates stiff scenes that tends to make the actors look bad. It also can cause the audience to fall out of the film's little world and lose their suspension of disbelief. This makes us care less about the actors and the story as a whole. After a Mamet film I often feel like I just saw the filming of some sort of beginning acting class. It's too bad, because the guy can write. Imagine what his films would be like in the hands of a skilled director? I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

Enjoyable, this was an excellent film, well written , with great performances from the entire cast, Val Kilmer was authentic as a Secret service freelancer, Twisty, just the right amount of action, and with a victim you would love to hate, this screenplay keeps you involved from beginning to end. Great Watch 8/10

The "thinking man"'s version of "Taken" It's a Mamet film, so you know what you get, intelligent dialogue and logical reasons for when "violence" is called for. Excellent.
